Rules Roles and Flags

I am SO close it hurts. I have a flag on my node/#submission/#/edit page that only admin can access. I need to assign a role to the user who created the submission when the admin clicks the "approved" flag. I get all the way to "User whos roles should be changed" and the only user option is the flagging user. Does anyone know how to get the submitting user in this drop down box, so that the person who submitted the form's roles might be changed on approval?

Thanks!

Using rules to auto-subscribe a user to a forum thread

I have the need to auto-assign a user to a particular forum (configured using the advanced forum module) when the user role changes from registered user to member. Is this possible to do with rules?

Thanks in advance for any help you can provide.

Drupal 6: Send customized emails to multiple addresses from fields within multiple field groups

I have a multi-step form that is a job application.

On one step the applicant enters information for professional references, and on another, character references. They may add multiple references (field groups) on each page. The field groups for both types of reference include an email field, and a hidden "email sent" field.

At the end of the form, when the applicant submits the form, I wish to send customized emails to each of the references, and populate the "email sent" field with "yes".

Tag OG content with OG taxonomy term?

Hi There!

I'm trying to create a rule that tags an OG post with a taxonomy term applied to the OG. So For example

OG node = tagged with Term A

OG Blog post is going to be created (I've set up a condition, Content is a group post)

Tag blog post with term A ( I've tried loading vocabulary and loading a term etc but there seems to be some limitations with Rules/OG here)

How to use Flag to trigger opening a custom CCK form for editing?

This seems like a very common task yet I can't seem to do it.

I want to have flag button on a page that an anonymous visitor can click to open a custom CCK form to enter email, and a short note, to be sent to an email address and have the form saved in the DB as a node so I can look at it later with Views. I also want the NID of the page that was flagged to be passed to the form. (I am using the dev version of Flag that allows anonymous flagging)

Webform can do this I believe but does not save items as nodes, so it's limited to what the module gives you.

Looking for a way to append a taxonomy term with a hierarchy

I'm trying to use a Freetag to append to an existing taxonomy hierarchy.

I can get it to add the term but not in the right place. It adds it as a distinctly new parent item.

Taxonomy1 -->cck content taxonomy - has hierarchy
freetag --> cck content taxonomy - single entry

so the user pick their way through taxonomy1 and then adds a free-tag. Just trying to get it to add that tag to the end of taxonomy1 in the right place. So eventually it will be a complete taxonomy.

Tried using this token set but it just created a new item and didn't append it.

Create Forum?

Hi there,

This is a bit of a long shot but I'm hoping to get some advice on forum generation through rules. My site is primarily organized through an extensive taxonomy. What I'm hoping to achieve with rules is this:

Taxonomy 1 (fruit)
New term is saved (apple)

Create a forum for apple with a standard set of containers

-History
-Recipes
-Msc

Is this possible with rules? I was playing around with loading the forum vocab and adding Apple as a new forum that way, but so far no luck. Any tips or advice anyone could share would be awesome.

Thanks!
Amy

Creating a Rules-driven admin dashboard

Hello,

I am somewhat new to Rules and am amazed by what it can do. I've got a situation where I believe Rules is the best tool, (I have also considered http://drupal.org/project/computed_field and http://drupal.org/project/views_calc). Any insight you have would be greatly appreciated.
