Executing a View with a Rule
In short: I need to execute a view, or series of views, with a rule or rule set (or trigger).

I just wanted to share some thoughts about possible implementations for workflow on d7.
Worklow states = a field
Basically I think workflow should work field-based, e.g. providing a workflow field, which can be attached to any entity. Thus the state transition settings would belong into the field settings, whereis the triggering part can be separated out and handled either by rules or trigger module.
Need help clarifying the rules set to be used
Hello all,
First of, I'dl like to thank you all for reading this. As a newbie to rules, I would understand if people find my post too complicated or unclear.
I am currently in the process of creating a routine as part of a website I am developing. This routine is a major part of the website goal.
Basically, I want to the do the following:
1- User A sends email request to User B asking him to complete a form stored at a node created by User C or by Admin (i.e. myself)
2- If User B accepts, User B fills in form which at the end contains a link back to my website
Tracking User Progress - has anyone done it?
I was stumbling aruond drupal.org and found two modules: http://drupal.org/project/content_complete and http://drupal.org/project/complete
Now I'm not entirely sure if either will do what I want but it seems like both at least are heading in the right direction. I'm looking for some kind of if/then logic in that when a user completes task x they get %y added to their total. In my use-case it's % completed of a course or lesson. Has anyone else used either of these projects or do any kind of user progression tracking?
Read moreWatcher och Me Aliases
Hej, upptäckte just watcher och den kanske kan hjälpa mig i mitt forum.
Frågorna är:
1. Är Watcher och me inkompatibla fortfarande?
Face.com open API and Drupal
Hello,
Reading about Face.com's new open API, I got a strong urge to jump on the new capabilities and make it happen for Drupal.
As I see it, several features can be done to make it very interesting:
And so on...
Read moreNew module to combine domain access + rules - make automatic domain creation much stronger
Hello,
I submitted a new module called domain_rules, which gives the strength of domain creation/deletion/etc. to the administrator using Rules.
I had to make it happen since existing modules such as domain_user didn't do exactly what I wanted. My goal was that when a certain user role create a certain content, I grab a CCK field out of it, create an alias to it, a new subdomain, set its theme (which, by design, shows the new created node as the front page), and set access to given users (in my case, anonymous).
When this node is being deleted, the domain is deleted with it...
New Rules module - better messaging (cover drupal_set_messages() options using Rules)
I need the ability to purge all existing messages (drupal_set_message), and to send messages in different type other than the original action provided by Rules.
Attached to the proper issue (I hope) is the new module - "Better Rules Message".
Do you think this module should be by its own, or should it be merged into the Rules module ?
Comments are welcome,
Regards,
Shushu
How to programmatically test if a rule has ran.
I have set up a rule that triggers when a new content of a certain type is created. How is it possible to programmatically test if this rule has ran?
I have the following code
<?php
function nupostmark_test() {
$node = node_load($node);
$ntypes = node_get_types('types', $node);
$nodesaverule = rule_function_to_call_here;
if($nodesaverule !== NULL && $ntypes == 'plistings'){
drupal_set_message('you can set the variable now');
//set some variable to make available to template.php in phptemplate_preprocess_block
}
}
?>
