Reminder: Drupal meetup tonight
Entity Registration Module
I've been using entity registrations in drupal 7 to handle "reservations" for a certain "event"
http://drupal.org/project/registration
Some things I can't figure out
1. how to set Rules (or any other mechanism) so that a confirmation is sent to the user when he registers for an event
2. how to set Rules (or any other mechanism) so that a reminder email is sent out to all registered users x hours before the event (24 hours before, 4 hours before, etc.)
3. how to open a registration (open = allow registrations) only 1 week before the event date
Anyone tried this out before?

Read moreSorting Views data question
Hi Guys,
I have created a view which displays the title, body and picture of a series of nodes.
The way it is presented is in a list like this where each item of the list contains title, Body and picture:
|
|-------- Title 1, Body 1, Picture 1
|-------- Title 2, Body 2, Picture 2
|-------- Title 3, Body 3, Picture 3
What I would like to do, is change the order of the above elements, namely I would like
to organise the Titles as the first item, the bodies as the second and the pictures as the third
|
|-------- Title 1, Title 2, Title 3
|-------- Body 1, Body 2, Body 3
State of Drupal in Emerging Markets Survey
Hi everyone!
I am presenting on what's happening with Drupal in emerging markets at DrupalCon Denver.
As some of you know, I lived in India for about 6 years; a few of them developing in Drupal. I am also an Acquia employee (for the past 3 years) and now mostly work in training.

Just came home from HKDUG meetup today. Although the group was apparently smaller, we still had 2 great presentations thanks to Brent and Danila :)
One thing we did talk about was that Barcamp.HK 2011 (Thanks Joe for this wonderful news!) is closing up quickly. The event will be on Saturday 12/11/2011.
We all think that it is a great opportunity to showoff to the tech community why we love Drupal. We have had a few ideas from the HKDUG meetup tonight:

Any ideas of a good module that I can protect my site's login from brute force attacks?
Or maybe is the a way to disable the login altogether? By allowing the admin who has access to the server
to turn it on and off?
Thanks
Read moreDrupalCamp Singapore - inviting a speaker from overseas - post your candidates here
As you may have noticed, Singapore was granted money for Community Cultivation by the Drupal Association so that we can bring in an international speaker to our DrupalCamp.
Is there anybody you would like to invite?
The funds should be sufficient to bring in somebody from Europe and maybe somebody from the States if we use sponsor money to top up.
Please post your suggestion as a comment, and also - when you post,
1) include the name of the proposed guest
2) write a short explanation why you think we should invite this person
3) what you think are the benefits for the drupal community in singapore / South/SE Asia
Alternately, add to the discussion that you second one of the proposed candidates.
Note that I'm including some groups in the region besides Singapore - there might be funds available for a stopover somewhere else in Asia, so I also encourage members from nearby countries to suggest candidates for the overseas speaker.
