The meeting for August will take place next Monday. If anyone has anything they'd like to talk about or ask questions about please let us know right away! Otherwise, Dan and I have planned to cover at least two areas of Drupal development.

Since I've been doing a bunch of front-end work lately I'll likely talk about custom theming in Drupal, involving creating your own custom theme from scratch, how to use template files, and developing your own designs for Drupal.

So next month (June) we will be recapping the Drupalcon Portland 2013 experience. If anyone else is going, please join us next month to share what you've seen and heard!

Hello and happy Spring to everyone!

This month we're going to be covering the general topic of backing up websites. I believe we have a volunteer to give a presentation regarding the Backup/Migrate module.

Let's expand the subject a little bit to include running parallel test sites, migrating sites, & sharing unique experiences we've all had regarding these tasks.

As always, please bring any Drupal-related issues you might have for troubleshooting. We all seem to really enjoy solving problems as a group and everyone learns something.

Hello there, my name is Tyler Steimle.

I've been building websites with Drupal for about a year now. I'm a former student of Dan Royer's at GVSU, and I've been to GRupal meetings a few times. It is important to have a group of Drupal users come together and share knowledge and experience--it makes us all better at what we do.

Those of us who were at DrupalCon will be sharing what we learned at the next meetup on April 9. Maybe we can set up a poll to see who wants to hear about what, but for now we will list some takeaway topics we left the conference with.

I have been searching and have found no way to get views slideshow to display the way that would look best for my site. I feel like this is a big favor to post if anyone tries to mess with it or maybe/hopefully I am missing something obvious that one of you already is aware of? :)

Does anyone have any experience using Drupal to customize Ning, is this even possible, or desired? I am new to Drupal, and a casual user of Ning, looking to brand a company's Ning site, and didn't know what would work.
