Coming off yet another successful DrupalCamp Florida (thank you, volunteers!), a few of us were talking about how we can best reinvest some of the leftover funds we have from the camp back intp the community.

Perhaps the most important thing we can do is help grow and strengthen the Florida Drupal community.

With this in mind, we're happy to (re-)announce that if you are a Florida Drupal meetup organizer, you can request reimbursement for expenses to help grow and strengthen your local community.

Just a reminder that registration for Florida DrupalCamp 2016 is now open! Early bird tickets are only $25, so please register today. The camp takes place on Saturday, March 5 at Florida Technical College in Orlando with three amazing well-known featured speakers from the Drupal community:

Over the past month or so, a few of us have been discussing the possibility of having Florida DrupalCamp 2016 at the Stetson University campus in Celebration. There was a possibility that it would be open to us, but the situation has changed and they are no longer interested in hosting the event.

DrupalCamp Atlanta is coming up next month (October 16-17, 2015) and it would be great if we could announce our dates and venue at that time.

Hey everybody - we have some extra Florida DrupalCamp 2014 promotional drink coasters that we didn't give away at DrupalCamp Atlanta last weekend.

If any meetup organizers would like a stack to give out at a future meetup, let me know and I'll drop them in the mail.

I'd like to propose a Florida Drupal Trivia night to be held at Ryan's Pub in Cocoa Village, Florida the evening of Friday, August 23, 2013.

This event would be open to all, and would utilize the Q&As from the DrupalCon Portland Trivia Night (if you attended the DrupalCon Portland Trivia Night, then congrats, you're one of the hosts!)

The idea is to provide a fun, easy-to-organize event for the Florida Drupal Community to get together and network and enjoy each other's company.

At last night's Brevard meetup, after an outstanding project management presentation by Robert Lazlo, we discussed future topics at Brevard meetups. Based on that discussion, here is the proposed schedule for the next couple of months:

• Tuesday, July 9 - Responsive menus and navigation - Mike Anello
• Thursday, July 25 - Search API and Facets - Caroline Achee, Git-Flow for Daily Use - Kevin Basarab
• Monday, August 12 - Drupal 8 Preview - Robert Lazlo
• Friday, August 23 - Proposed Florida Drupal Trivia night - more info coming soon.

The bulk of the Florida Drupal Diver pins are in the process of being distributed to the local meetup organizers. If you'd like to get your hands on a pin, then get out to your local Drupal meetup!

• Brevard - I handed some out at last night's meetup and will have them at meetups going forward until we run out!
• Broward - Jay Epstein has pins to distribute at the next meetup.
• Orlando - Andrew Riley will have pins starting today to distribute at Orlando Drupal co-working and future Orlando meetups.

The Florida Drupal Diver pins are in and they look fantastic!

Thanks to everyone involved, especially Dustin Cooper for the fantastic design work.

Next, we need to figure out how to best distribute them. I have them right now, and I'm planning on giving 25 of them to Jay Epstein (I'll see him this weekend) for distribution at a future Broward and/or Palm Beach meetup. I think the best way would probably be to distribute them to the various state-wide meetup organizers.
