My Nginx setup, granted very basic start to it, no real caching set up yet... LAMP has really no special additions to it kinda a out of the box install.

Drupal sets ups are clones on both systems.

I wanted to start this thread to give anyone wanting to quickly get up and running to play around with nginx and such.. below is my first stab at sorta a howto, I used some info from other sites and next step is getting all the drupal things working like I want clean urls, imagecache, upload progress.

Note, this setup is very new to me coming from LAMP so please if you use these instructions use them only for testing out this setup.

Hi, Im finally thinking of taking the plunge and getting rid of my LAMP stack in favor for nginx.. I was wondering if anyone had a decent install script for ubuntu 10.04 64 bit, I have a linode instance up and running.. If not is their a decent walk though to get nginx, pressflow, varnish, memcache, apc and all the other bells up and running ?

Sorry if this was asked here before might be worth a sticky if their is such a walk though or script.

I have a VPS which is running Ubuntu with NGINX.

I have just created a Drupal Commerce site where I would like to enable SSL for the checkout procedure. So I would like to enable SSL for this site and limit the secure pages to only those during checkout. I am using the PayPal WPP - credit card, payment method and any help would be much appreciated.

I am setting up a new server to move some of my drupal sites to. I'm trying to switch everything over to nginx, php-fpm, etc. I have everything setup and have used perusio's scripts extensively. I can see the php-fpm status pages, I can reach the domain - in this case http://contemplativechristianliving.com/ - but I cannot get any actual drupal pages to show up... What I see in the error logs are endless entries such as:

I've set up a D7 site with Nginx and to accelerate the site Boost as well. I've used the config by omega8cc though not using aegir/barracuda - wanted it to be a bit easier at the beginning.
Now whenver users want to log in to the site the on the first log in (site is running in https completely), after entering their username and password they get thrown back to the same page without success - username and password field empty. So apparently Boost didn't recognize the post correctly, serving a cached page.
However, when the user tries to login again - he succeeds.

It seems to me like this project should utilize Nginx rather than apache2. Perhaps looking into this project (quite similar to project mercury, but not drupal-centric) may provide some interesting ideas?

I'm start using Drupal and this is my setup:

Gentoo Linux 64bit with:

nginx
Fastcgi PHP-FPM
PHP 5.3
MySQL Server 5.1
xCache Opcode cache
Drupal 7.9 with heavy / large modules ... (views, panels, display suite, entity API ... etc) using the InnoDB engine.

Quad-core Intel CPU
3x2GB (6GB) DDR3 RAM
500GB 7200rpm SATA HD

In this machine, plus the installation of Drupal, there are also a OpenX Ad Server 2.8 (myisam engine & memcached).

I've been fairly happy w/ dreamhost and I like having their support team behind me. But - every time I try out nginx fastcgi/PHP crashes after several hours and the site goes down. I wonder if anybody here has seen this or has some ideas.

I use macports to installed Nginx and php-cgi on my MacBook Air Lion and deployed Drupal 7.
Everything is fast except DRUPL_HOME/admin/config. That page needs 3s to load while other pages just show as soon as I click the link.
Anyone got the same problem on Mac?
