The Vancouver Drupal Users Group (VanDUG) is the local meeting place for Greater Vancouver people interested in Drupal. We were formerly known as the Vancouver League of Drupalers, but that's a long story.
The group mostly hangs out on Slack at https://vandug.slack.com/. We also post our meetings on Meetup.com at https://www.meetup.com/Vancouver-Drupal-Users-Group. All are welcome, it's listed as a private group to keep out the griefers.
We've been holding semi-regular virtual meetings during COVID-19.

Live video streaming/recording
I have set up the Open source media player http://mediafront.org/ for the Cortes Music Festival www.cortesmusicfest.com and it is working quite well for hosted and embedded video.
I am planning to set up a live stream for the festival this weekend, and was going to use Ustream as a service provider. Has anyone used drupal for live streaming? The nice thing about Ustream is that is also records the video for future viewing.

Vancouver Drupal Users Group: Using the Omega theme for your responsive Drupal 7 website. Tricks & Tips
With responsive being the new cool for websites, we will take a look at the popular Omega theme from Drupal 7, and share some of the tricks to making it work the way you want. This is not a "what is responsive design?" type presentation, there are enough of those on the web to fill your heart with joy. This is a real world solution finding discussion with demos of a soon to be launched website. Trent Stromkins is a front end developer at ImageX Media, and runs his own freelance shop Small Robot.

Learn to build a website with Drupal 7
