Welcome to VANDUG!
The Vancouver Drupal Users Group (VanDUG) is the local meeting place for Greater Vancouver people interested in Drupal. We were formerly known as the Vancouver League of Drupalers, but that's a long story.
The group mostly hangs out on Slack at https://vandug.slack.com/. We also post our meetings on Meetup.com at https://www.meetup.com/Vancouver-Drupal-Users-Group. All are welcome, it's listed as a private group to keep out the griefers.
We've been holding semi-regular virtual meetings during COVID-19.

Related terms View based on current node
When visiting node/x, how to use this node's NID and term(s) as argument to get related terms and associated nodes?
Say, node/123 has a vocabulary "Country and City" and its terms are Canada and Vancouver respectively. Within the same vocabulary, "Canada" is a related term of "USA" and "Mexico", and "Vancouver" is a related term of "Burnaby", "Richmond". Then I want to get a related terms View that list nodes associated with terms USA, Mexico, Burnaby and Richmond. Of course, also those nodes which have terms Canada and Vancouver too.

Hey folks - I want to un-own http://groups.drupal.org/drupal-camp-vancouver so I can un-join the group (I am following too many inactive ones).
Wondering if anyone wants to adopt ownership or if we should merge it into the regular Vancouver group.
Post opinions/offers or I'll just request to merge it.
Thanks!

I'm looking to see if there is anyone out there who has developed an interactive map or a virtual tour application (or a combination of both), using Drupal or other technologies. If in the greater Toronto Area, please drop me a line to discuss.
Thanks,

Is there anyone who can help me on this?

I am new to Drupal and doing my first project. :)
Is anyone used "Menu Trail" or "Menu Trail By Path" module ? Menu Trail was working fine for me but it stopped working when I created new menu.
I was using this http://ftp.drupal.org/files/projects/menutrails-6.x-1.1.zip on my website.
Here are my menu settings
- Primary Menu as main menu
- Sections sub nav
- Sections side nav
Looking for free/cheap server space
Dear Vancouver Drupal peeps,
I'm looking for some server space to host a drupal site for my doctoral research project. It's currently 17.7 MB and is still under development but isn't likely to get insanely big. It will have extremely limited usage - just admins, developers, and study participants, at most 30 at a time. Only registered users will have access.
Right now this is a 100% educational, non-profit project. I need the space for a year and a half to two years. I don't need a domain hookup or anything like that. Physical server needs to be in Canada.

* What is the talk about? *
We'll explore the purpose of the template.php file in theming as well as the relevant Drupal API functions. We'll then delve deeper into creating the most basic functions needed in the file. Finally we'll explore the process of reading the code of other modules to help you find the places where you can change their output via template.php
