Turned out that Sydney's first Drupal meetup was an extremely cosy affair, with only three of us turning up: myself, Tom Burton, and Peter Moulding. Pity that more of the people that indicated they were going to attend, ultimately did not.
Anyway, we had a nice old chat, discussed our involvement in Drupal, and resolved that we should get the Drupal Sydney community going by having regular get-togethers, similar to what the Melbourne people are doing, with presentations and with a proper venue. I also brought along a Druplified Australian flag!

I was there by myself.
I arrived there at 3.15pm, wandered around for 20mins but couldn't find anyone. Neither of the staff on the registers new anything. Rather frustrating. Where were you guys?

We were there
We were standing out the front until about 3:15pm, then we got a table near the entrance (in the outside area). I was displaying the Druplified Aussie flag the whole time (IMHO fairly prominently). You didn't see it? I was also on the lookout (pretty much the whole time) for anyone who looked like a possible Drupaller.
Very sorry that you couldn't find us. Hopefully, next time we'll have a dedicated venue, so that this kind of thing doesn't happen. Probably would have been a good idea for everyone to have my mobile number as well.

Oh well sometimes the best laid plans go astray. I can't believe I didn't see you but sometimes you can't see the trees because of the forest. Or is it the other way around. Anyway I think having your mobile number is a good idea for next time.
So dissapointed I missed the inaugural meeting.
