Welcome to the Bellingham Drupal Users' Group!
The BhamDUG is currently planning its meetups to talk about Drupal, to contribute to regional Drupal events like PNW Drupal Camp, and have some Drupal Fun. During BhamDUG meetups, we showcase modules and projects, share tips and tricks, and answer nagging questions about Drupal.
This is a geographic Drupal User Group, meant primarily for planning local Drupal related events and meetups, and for supporting users locally.
Don't know much about Drupal yet? That's okay. New Drupal people are welcome!
Move Meetup Date to 7PM, the 3rd Tuesday of each Month?
Bellingham Drupal User Group Meetup
Let's keep the momentum going! We will meet on Monday July 8th Monday July 15th, location on the Meetup page. Please RSVP via the Meetup page if you're planning to come, so that we have a headcount, and feel free to bring any coffee or snacks that you want to share. We won't do a full run-through of the next Drupal Ladder step, but we will discuss it, and I'll be going over the Contribution Sprint setup steps that we walked through at DrupalCon. I invite anyone who wants to get up and talk about what they're doing with Drupal to make a presentation, too.

Contract Work - Anacortes, WA
The Swinomish Casino & Lodge is located in Anacortes, WA. I'm looking for an on-call drupal expert for contract work, improvements, and updates to http://swinomishcasinoandlodge.com. At this time, I manage the CMS, but do not have any Drupal skills, currently the site is being managed by the agency that built it.
What better place to look than a Drupal Group?
If you are interested in discussing further, please contact me at your convenience.

Greetings Drupal friends,
After years of work. defeating a life threatening illness, set backs, delays, developers that "sputter out", and moments of absolute joy...a website I first conceived in '06 went live this past summer.
JoinACampaign.com is the result of dedication, will, patriotism, persistence, creativity, positivity, and purpose. But, it / I needs some help.

We'll be meeting again at the same place as the May meeting (sign up on Meetup.com to find out where). This is going to be Jakob and Emilie's last B'ham meetup (snif). So, in the interest of all of us being together to send Jakob and Emilie off in style to their new life in Portland, let's have a single meeting instead of splitting into two, and those of us doing the Drupal ladder can bring up DL-related questions (i.e, git, patch testing, contributing, etc) but we won't devote a separate session to it. Okey dokey?
For location info please check the Meetup site:
Read moreDrupal Sprints at Linuxfest Northwest
Linuxfest Northwest is coming back for 2013 -- the last weekend in April. After talking to some core maintainers, we thought it'd be a fun idea to do a sprint based around linuxfest northwest.
Sprinters are certainly welcome (and encouraged!) to submit a talk for LFNW, but the main goal is to get some sprinting done on Core in preparation for Drupalcon in May.
I'll also be leading a distros sprint, if people are interested. My main focus is on COD and Commons -- but if there are other distros that would like to host here, feel free.
Why Linuxfest Northwest?

Max Bronsema of WWU has graciously agreed to present about Install Profiles. We will also be discussing the idea of starting a Drupal Ladder as part of our group gatherings - an opportunity for everyone to put Drupal into practice on the spot by installing a local instance of Drupal and working our way up through all the steps required to be able to contribute to the project. Hope to see you there! If everyone is agreeable, we may just start up the ladder Monday night.
Please RSVP via Meetup if you're coming! Hope to see you there.

Contributed Module Review
At our user group meeting this week, after encouraging our BIG Idea Lab hosts, Red Rokk Interactive, to contribute back some of their nifty video-mixing code to Drupal, the subject came up of how new contributed modules (or "projects") are vetted.
