This month, Peter Weber will show how Aten built a Drupal-powered API for generating levels for an HTML5, SVG and JavaScript game engine. This system allowed content editors to create a limitless number of unique, hand-crafted levels for an early childhood education game without additional development costs.
Together we'll cover how we used Drupal to create configurable level entities, the tools and techniques we used to make an interactive game with SVG and JavaScript, and how we internationalized our audio instructions by integrating Drupal with the Watson API.

DrupalCon Baltimore is upon us. Like right now, this very moment. Developers and designers and managers from all over the world are gathered to learn about and improve on Drupal. And we're here in Denver away from the fun *sad face emoji*.
While we may not be able to attend the amazing after parties or get a fresh new collection of stickers for our laptops, we still have access to the wave of knowledge coming out of Baltimore this year. Keynotes and sessions are recorded and posted, so let's take advantage of that.

This month we are excited to have Neil Cousineau joining us to talk about access control. Access control is a vital part of any website as it determines which users can do what actions. It also allows you to hide certain data from users who are not allowed to view it.
Getting this setup correctly can be a tricky venture. Neil has quite a bit of experience with this at E Source and he's going to give us some tips on how to get this done correctly to ensure your secrets aren't leaking out.
As always, there will be great food and beer available for all.

A new year is upon us, let's start it off right. This month we'll have an open discussion about the next year of the Central DBUG. This is your chance to help shape our meetups, and voice ways to make them more valuable to the community. What topics would it be good to hear about for Drupal in 2017? For the internet and technology as a whole? Do you have something you've been itching to talk about? What things worked, and what could have been done better last year? How are you liking the pizza orders? We want to hear from you, so bring your thoughts.

This month we'll be doing an Agile round-table discussion. Prepare for an open conversation about the things we're doing that's working, or things we've tried that isn't working. Are there parts of Agile that you find impossible to do, or parts that are indispensable to your team's success?
Should time permit, we'll close with a brief show and tell. Bring any tools or modules you think someone should know about, and be ready to talk about them for about five minutes!
Pizza and socializing starts at 6:30 p.m.
Discussion and presentations start at 7.
