Call for volunteers for promote Drupal at FOSSETCON in Orlando Sept 11-13
Hey Florida Drupalers and Drupalistas!
We're looking for volunteers to man a Florida Drupal booth at http://fossetcon.org this Sept 11-13
From their website:
Fossetcon is an acronym for "Free and Open Source Expo and Technology Conference". Fossetcon is not JUST a GNU/Linux Conference, *nix Conference or *BSD Conference. It's for all things Free and Open Source!
The booth times will be on Friday and Saturday. They're expecting over 500 people. This is a great opportunity to learn more about the wider open source community in general in addition to spreading the word and helping to market Drupal.
More details can be found on their website at http://fossetcon.org. The conf will be held at the Rosen Plaza Hotel off of I-Drive.
If you're interested, post below!

Drupal 7.29 sucks
I had a terrible time installing a raw Drupal 7.29 in my localhost.
Weird behaviors I never saw before, I tried several times, wasted several hours, and finally had to upgrade via Drush a Drupal 7.28 site.
Behaviors like immediately blocking access to install, chmod solved that.
The most annoying thing is that after setting a maintenance account (user 1 or uid = 1) with a correct password that I did not mistype, it was not letting me in to administrative functions.
Potential data loss when upgrading to Drupal 7.29
I just ran across this information and thought I would pass it on:
Issue Identified in Drupal 7.29 Security Upgrade
An issue with potential data loss when upgrading to Drupal 7.29 has been identified and posted on Drupal.org. For more information, please see "Regression: Files or images attached to taxonomy terms (and other entities?) are lost when the term is edited and saved.”
We urge customers to review the issue as posted, assess their Drupal configuration for related vulnerabilities, and test appropriately when upgrading to Drupal 7.29 to avoid unintended consequences.

This month will be an overview about Migrate API - used to migrate Drupal 6 to 7, or using a legacy database, XML file or spreadsheet. Migrate from Wordpress to Drupal is one popular example.
Migrate will also be the official upgrade path from Drupal 6 or 7 to Drupal 8, so it's a good idea to become familiar with it now.

Using Drupal 7
27 seems to be the answer however I do not seem to be able to make it work
It says to edit this in the php code when you insert it.
function THEMENAME_file_link($variables)
THEMENAME I think should be the machine name of your theme.
How do I find this?
If a theme is based on another theme which template.php would I edit.
thanks in advance
