I have created a simple internal auction system. I have a content type, a webform, and some views. I know I could have used drupal commerce and an auction module but honestly i didn't need all that extra overhead.
Content is created. Then assigned it to a particular auction(taxonomy term). I have a view for each auction. I created a webform. NID of the item is passed to the webform for ref.
The view displays a table of webform results (webform mysql module) that are assoc to the NID of the item. Therefore, only displaying the bids for that item.

Florida DrupalCamp 2015 and Fossetcon 2015, together?
I got a chance on Saturday at Fossetcon to talk to one of the event organizers, Bryan Smith. He had really hoped for a large Drupal turnout. We either didn't know about it or didn't have enough time.
He would have loved an entire training day just focused on Drupal too.
Here are some thoughts I had:
- Bryan would be more than open to having a dual-conference, DrupalCamp and Fossetcon together. I've seen other DrupalCamps like this and it works quite well. We gain a much wider audience, and can pool financial as well as other logistical resources.
Florida DrupalCamp and PHP Women
Hey everybody,
First off - thanks for everyone who volunteered at the Florida Drupal Users' Group booth at Fossetcon Orlando!
While I was there on Friday, I picked up a flyer from PHP Women - I didn't see anyone to talk to from the organization, so I don't know too much about them other than what is on the flyer and their web site.
Regardless, I think it is important that we try to encourage and foster diversity in the Florida Drupal community and the PHP Women organization might be able to help.

This document is designed to be provided to potential venues who wish to be considered as the location for Florida DrupalCamp 2015.
Description of the event
A two-day open-source software conference focused on training sessions and collaboration.
Requirements
- Single auditorium-style room that can hold 300-350 attendees for opening/closing session and keynote.
- 4-6 classrooms that can hold between 30-60 attendees. Ideally, one of the classrooms will be able to hold at least 60 attendees.

Read morePotential Venues for Florida Drupalcamp 2015!!
Its that time of year again.. Florida Drupalcamp planning season.
This year, we're looking for a larger venue if possible. Florida Technical College is awesome, but experience and feedback has shown that their classrooms and auditorium are too small for our usage. In the event that we cannot find any other space, we'll likely go back there (assuming they'll have us).
What are we looking for?
Requirements
- Single room that can hold ~300 attendees for keynotes plus 5-6 classrooms that can hold ~50 attendees.
- Area for the 300 or so attendees to eat catered lunch.
- Greater Orlando area.
- Cost less than $3-4,000. We're also willing to order catering from the venue and provide ~80 room nights. Obviously, cheaper is better, and free is best.
- Great Customer Service - we want someone that gets back to us quickly and works for our business.
- Audio Visual Equipment - Projectors, mic, sound, and screens in every room
- Wireless Internet Access - Cheap or free is best
Nice-to-haves
- Quick access to after-party venue (it would be best if this is located at the venue).
- Located near tourist-y area that would attract Drupalists from around the country (to turn it into a vacation)
- Inexpensive room nights ($100 or so)
- Power access in the classrooms.
Deadline
We’re working on a deadline here to get stuff done. The deadline is Monday, September 15th. After that, we’ll reach out to potentials and do further reseach.
Potential Venue List
We’re compiling a list of potential venues at https://docs.google.com/a/herchel.com/spreadsheets/d/19VVBkXGMTW7spYTr83...
