Uploading Soundslides Presentation Folder

Soundslides http://www.soundslides.com/ is desktop software that will generate a Flash slideshow from a set of images and an MP3 file. It seems to be pretty popular with news organizations and communications offices around here. The software creates a "publish_to_web" folder which contains the swf and several directories of resources (sized images, mp3 files, settings, etc). What is the best way to allow a user upload this folder to the server and attach it to a node?

Looking for a good slideshow solution

I am trying to implement a slideshow for the front page of a website.

I spent a few days trying to work with various versions of views slideshow ddblock, which turned into a cluster better forgotten.

My hope is to create a block around 650px wide by 330px high.

The object has 5 parts:
- background image
- destination to send to if clicked
- citation of where the image came from
- Header
- text block

Test D7 beta for free

Hi, Drupal 7 beta and Ubuntu 10.10 launch back to back, how exciting. Ubuntu has a thing this release where you can try out Ubuntu server on EC2 for free for an hour. The question is, what would you do with EC2 for one hour?

Thanks to the D7 release team, now there is an answer to that question! So I blogged about how to set up D7 quickly for testing on the EC2. http://www.bearfruit.org/2010/10/14/test-drupal-7-beta-for-free/

It's quite easy, you don't have to have ever used EC2 before. My first try I had D7 running in about 6 min. I have to say, the improvements are awesome, I can't wait to start using it. If you care to, you can retweet my announcement.

Looking for view slideshow ddblock themes

I am trying to use view slideshow ddblock (http://drupal.org/project/views_slideshow_ddblock) to build a home page slideshow. The module seems awesome and it will fulfill everything I need to get my slideshow done in time for my deadline of tomorrow.

There is one rub, the site that say hosts the documentation and the free themes that would make my life much easier, it is down:
http://ddblock.myalbums.biz

Is there anyone out there using view slideshow ddblock that has any of the free themes or the zip (vsd-upright10-60-V1-2.zip)? If I had an example theme it would be quite helpful.

Openlayers + Rules. Anyone done it? Any guidelines?

New to Openlayers, OL Proximity, and Rules. They all seem to be working.

Would like to notify users when nodes are published / updated based on geographic proximity, i.e. node is published with a location within 50 miles of a user. It is for a missing pet web site.

Anyone with experience integrating the two? Am going to try to figure out today. Thanks.
