Long Island Meetup - May 20th
Happy Cinco De Mayo!! Our next meet up is approaching quick and is about two weeks out.
If anyone would like to present a project, topic, case study etc. our main segment is open. I am currently preparing a talk on Drupal 8 site building and can dive into some of that if people would like to explore this a bit. We also have an open slot for the module of the month.

Long Island Meetup - April 15th

HHVM -- PHP++
I am planning on going to this talk next week. Seems interesting based on their description. There are only 13 spots left. Check it out.
HHVM is Facebook's runtime for the PHP and Hack languages. The talk will give a brief introduction to HHVM, give a high level overview of the history and architecture of its current form as a JIT compiler, and will explore the implications of HHVM as an open source project.

Happy New Year! 2015 is going to be an exciting year for the Drupal world. If you are an experienced developer, designer, or project manager OR just starting out come down and enjoy some learning and pizza!
For our first meetup of the year I am thinking we do a "show and tell" format. Do you have a project you worked on 2014 or looking to launch in 2015 that you can show off? This is a good opportunity to bounce the project off our group. Every time I do something like this I walk away with valuable insights!

Well these past few weeks flew by and the holiday season is upon us. I hope everyone had a Happy Thanksgiving and that your are well underway with your holiday shopping...
We will be foregoing this months meetup due to some scheduling conflicts and the fact that time just got the best of us this month.
We still plan on doing some holiday giveaways at Januarys meetup. If anyone has any good book recommendations please post them here and we will use them as the giveaways.
