With all of our recent Drupal 8 talk I think it is a good time to take a step back look at what is happening with Backdrop which seems to be a Drupal 7 fork. Nate Haug from Lullabot is the project lead and share somes of his thinking in this podcast:

We are also coming back from the New Jersey Camp that went down this past weekend. We look forward to sharing what we have learned, it was a great event!

Looking forward to tonight!

Looking forward to tonight! Looks like the weather is going to hold out for us. We will be diving into the Backdrop fork and exploring how it differs from D7 and D8... and why/when we may want to recommend this platform for our projects.

If anyone has any modules they want to highlight please don't be shy! I've been using the composer_manager module this past month and its proved very useful to plug our modules into the large Packagist landscape...

Backdrop Article

Hey everyone,

Great meet up last night!!

I came across this article on maintaining contrib modules for Backdrop this morning and wanted to share with the group:

http://tag1consulting.com/blog/how-maintain-contrib-modules-drupal-and-b...

In addition I would like to try and use our group more on GDO and encourage everyone to do the same. We have 137 members and can use this space to help others, discuss ideas, and just share anything cool and exciting that we come across with Drupal.

See you all next month and hope to be chatting with you on here before then :)
