Beginner Topics:
1. System Installation
2. Initial Configuration
3. Beginning content planning/design
Intermediate Topics:
1. Intro to theming.

Holiday Meetup next week!
Hello all! I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving with their loved ones! We are heading full speed into the end of the year... lets squeeze in our last meetup for 2013!
Next week, Wednesday 12/18 we will have our holiday meetup. Instead of Pizza we will be having some sweets and have some giveaways.
The topic for our meetup is open, but what I was thinking we can do "A year in Drupal", discuss our biggest problems for the year and how we want to improve come the new year.
If anyone has any topics they would like to talk about lets hear it!

The holiday season is approaching fast and so is Drupal 8 (maybe)! We will be having our November meetup on our traditional 3rd Wednesday of the month on November 20th. We will be at our same location at Infosys International (address below)
I'd like to expand on the excellent talk Annemarie gave last month around theme development / planning. Maybe take a design and start chopping it down together to get a better idea on how to take a mockup and make it a Drupal theme. If you have any designs you are curious about bring them down.

Disabling the Google Translate "better translation" popup
I am working on a site in Portuguese and using Google Translate since I don't know Portuguese.
The problem is the annoying popup that appears when hovering over a link in the Admin Menu bar that covers the menu.
I found and posted a solution here http://productforums.google.com/d/msg/chrome/8oA_K-KpcqA/AKjfNu2XU4EJ using the Adblock Plus extension for Chrome with a custom filter that blocks the popup
The custom filter is "##div#goog-gt-tt"
Hope this helps
