Drupal 8 sprint
Op vrijdag 21 november organiseert Triquanta een Drupal 8 code sprint bij op het kantoor in Amsterdam. Koffie, thee, lunch en enkele ervaren Drupal core contributors om nieuwkomers op weg te helpen, zijn aanwezig.
We zullen aan diverse core issues werken om zo te leren hoe Drupal 8 werkt en te helpen de release van 8.0.0. dichterbij te brengen.
's Avonds zullen we met elkaar een hapje eten in het centrum van Amsterdam.

Drupalcafé is an open meeting forum, for- and by Drupal enthusiasts. Drupalcafé features presentations, open discussions and inspiring demonstrations that promote knowledge sharing of Drupal. On wednesday October 1st Michel van Velde, CEO of One Shoe, will be organizing the infamous DrupalCon CEO dinner. This tradition started in Munich, went out of control in Prague and will be another infamous freedom of speech night in Amsterdam. The dinner starts at 7 PM, is for CEO only and - as it's a freedom of speech night - no staff is allowed :-).

Drupalcamp Ghent 2014 registration opens
You can now register for the Drupalcamp Ghent 2014 that takes place November 7 & 8, 2014. The event will be having multiple session tracks, codesprints and informal meetings (BoFs), which will add up to become the best Drupal event in Ghent ever!

DrupalCon Amsterdam Music Night
We are organizing a cultural night during DrupalCon Amsterdam. Part of that night will be a music event in a pub in the center of Amsterdam.
We are looking for Drupalistas that want to make some music that night. If you are interested in playing, singing, have a band (not necessarily all Drupalistas), written a song, want to make an arrangement of a song, please let me know, so we can make a program for the night.

Drupal CXO Executive event in Utrecht the Netherlands
On july 5th SDBN (The Dutch Drupal Business Association) is organizing the annual Drupal CXO executives meeting! This time it is organized in Utrecht, The Netherlands. The Drupal executives meeting is organized to share best practices in running a Drupal agency. In 2014 vindt DrupalCon, met ruim 2000 aanwezigen het grootste Drupal evenement ter wereld, plaats in Amsterdam.
Voorafgaand aan dit congres organiseert Stichting Drupal Nederland een speciale trainingsdag voor studenten, docenten, werkzoekenden en andere leergierigen. Op vrijdag 26 september nodigen we je uit om een hele dag (kosteloos) geïnspireerd te worden en te leren waarom dit open source product zo succesvol is.

The topic for Drupalcafé May is set on continuous integration. We expect to discuss various points of attention concerning governance in ongoing development (and maintenance), the merging of decentralized development activities with the main production version and the use of tooling to support that. Speakers will be Tom Missaar and Niels van Mourik.

This session is most interesting for Drupal developers that do Drupal development in teams of developers and / or in situations where different parties do different tasks, such as development vs maintenance. Keep in mind that this is a preliminary subject, which may still change.

The biggest Drupal core sprint and developer camp is coming up in March!
Drupal Developer Days 2014 is coming up quick in Szeged, Hungary from March 24th (Mon) to the 30th (Sun) 2014. Szeged, Hungary may sound like it is the middle of nowhere but what do you need to get together with a bunch of Drupal developer friends and learn about and advance the platform together? As those who have been to DrupalCon Europe 2008 in the same city know, Szeged is the ideal place for just that. Check out our interviews about those experiences.
Here are some quick facts about Drupal Dev Days 2014:
- A whole week of sprints with two core committers (Alex Pott and Nathaniel Catchpole) as well as the testbot system maintainer (Jeremy Thorson) on location! Could we help more to make progress? Oh, most top European Drupal developers are already signed up to come as well!
- Three days of sessions and workshops (50 topics providing 56 hours of content). Get lots of readily applicable know-how including website monitoring, e-commerce, practical scrum, Vagrant, product development in real life, Heisencache, IDE tricks and so on. Look into how Drupal is made, see the life of a core maintainer, get gamification tips or discuss a new type of money: Druplicoins!
- Want to work on upgrading your modules to Drupal 8 but don't know how? No problem! Additionally to learning about all the new Drupal 8 subsystems, there is a bring-your-own-module workshop as well, where mentors will help you upgrade your module!
- Want to get into Drupal development? Attend the community tools workshop and learn all the tools we use to communicate and work on solutions and learn and enjoy how the Drupal mentoring program works.
