Dinner with Drupal
Monday March 25 we'll have another Dinner with Drupal. This edition will be about what's new in Drupal 8. Between 17:30 and 19:30 a number of presentations will be given, after which there will be an open mic to interact with fellow attendees.

We'll meet at Brasserie De Kater in downtown Enschede. This cafe/restaurant can easily be reached by bike, car, bus, or train. After the meeting, which will be finished around 20:00, we'll have dinner together.

Drupal 8 is nu in feature freeze en daarom vinden over de hele wereld sprints plaats tijdens het weekend van 9 en 10 maart (http://groups.drupal.org/node/277768).
Op zaterdag 9 maart organiseren Bart Feenstra (Xano) en Erik Stielstra (Sutharsan) een sprint in Enschede. We zullen enkele ontwikkelingen van Drupal 8 bespreken en onze kennis in de praktijk toepassen door te helpen aan Drupal core. Er zijn diverse taken waar we mee bezig zullen gaan:
- patches schrijven
- change records/documentatie schrijven en verbeteren
- de interface testen
Sprint drupal.be / drupal.nl
Na de succesvolle switch naar een responsief theme is de drupal.nl/.be site weer toe aan een onderhoudsbeurt. Daarom organiseren we op zaterdag en zondag 2 en 3 maart 2013 een websitesprint in Schijf (Roosendaal, NL, bijna op de grens met België ).

Hello Drupal Brussels
Hello Drupal is a course designed for people who have a general idea of how content management systems work, but little or no Drupal experience. The goal is to throw you over that first bump in the Drupal learning curve and get you off and running building your first site.
By the end of this course, you will be able to...
Explain how a typical site is built in Drupal, and explain the page-model in Drupal.
Use Drupal specific terminology such as fields, views, node, block, page.

Patch review sprint Brussels + Hello Drupal training
The idea is to organize a sprint following FOSDEM in Brussels on Feb 4 and 5.
As these dates are just after FOSDEM there might be people wanting to extend their stay in the beautiful city of Brussels to compensate for the lack of Drupal interest on FOSDEM.
The only thing we are looking for right now is a location we can use. What are the options in Brussels? Companies interested in lending a room for a day or 2?
Besides that, we need people of course, so if you are interested, let me know so we can compile a list and see what we can work on.

CiviCRM Meetup BeNeLux op 23 januari 2013 in Apeldoorn
Op 23 januari 2013 is er een CiviCRM BeNeLux meetup in Apeldoorn. Ontmoet andere CiviCRM-ers uit de BeNeLux op een informele manier. Iedereen die iets heeft met CiviCRM is welkom.
We verwachten om 14.00 uur te beginnen en tot 16.00 uur rond een tafel te zitten. Dan is er van 16.00 tot 17.00 gelegenheid om met een drankje in de hand verder kennis te maken en ervaringen uit te wisselen.

Drupal tech talk 6
Op 25 oktober organiseren Hoppinger en Triquanta de zesde Drupal Tech Talk. De Drupal Tech Talk is een bijeenkomst voor Drupal coders met deze keer een presentatie over deployment met Jenkins en een open space. De inhoud van de sessies is technisch diepgaand. Reken op slides met complexe schema's, veel code en riskante live demos.
De Tech Talk wordt tweemaandelijks georganiseerd door Hoppinger en Triquanta.

- Open space (discussie over door deelnemers gekozen onderwerpen)

Drupalistas gather every second ánd last friday of the month to work on their own projects. One can exchange experiences, help and empower each other, make new friends. The ambiance at De Stadskantine —a spaciously and light set up café-restaurant in De Pijp— is good, as are the espresso, the meals, the wifi.
There is no need to sign up and attending is free of charge.

Drupal Village at Observe Hack Make 2013
The Observe Hack Make 2013 event will be the next edition in a series of massive outdoor hacking events organised in the Netherlands every 4 years. We plan to build a Drupal Village to represent the Drupal community, meet with other open source projects and have lots and lots of phun.
12-2012 Update: OHM is gearing up. Check out the call for participation and the Wild Ideas section for an idea what this event will be about. It would be nice to see some familiar Drupal names in the final programming but all participants are also encouraged to volunteer for other roles such as van/truck/fork lift/golf cart drivers or lighting fanatics or musicians.

Een Drupal website leren bouwen in 24 dagen
Vandaag gaat Drupal in 24 dagen van start. Via deze website wil internetbureau Van Eldijk beginners kennis laten maken met de belangrijkste aspecten van Drupal.
De komende 23 dagen zal er elke dag een tutorial worden gepubliceerd waarin een specifiek onderdeel van Drupal wordt uitlegt. Aan het einde van het traject zal iedereen een Drupal website kunnen opzetten, configureren en beheren.

On July 12, we will gather for another Dinner with Drupal. Just like last time, we will meet around 18:00 at the cafe De Kater in downtown Enschede, which is easy to reach by bike, car, bus, or train. You will be able to order dinner and drinks at the venue.
We welcome everybody who uses Drupal, or everybody who wants to start using it. You don't have to be a guru to attend. There will be developers, designers, businessmen, newbies and hardcore users. Over the past few editions of this event, attendees have come from all across the Netherlands and even from Germany.

Hoi, Drupal Commerce vind ik echt een bijzonder "webshop" systeem. Enerzijds omdat het gericht is op Drupal 7, maar ook omdat het native gebruik maakt van allerlei standaard Drupal modules, zoals views, rules en entity.
Ik heb wel interesse om hier een "in ieder geval" online discussiegroepje voor om te richten om ervaringen uit te wisselen. Ik heb net mijn eerste shop in de lucht gebracht met vooral contributed modules.
Wie heeft ook een drupal commerce webshop draaien, en wat is je ervaring daarbij?

Nearsourcing, aan echte Drupal professionals. Zou jij het doen?
Outsourcing is eng. Maar zou je samenwerking overwegen met een (goed Engels sprekend) bedrijf dat dichtbij 'voelt', waar je het gevoel hebt dat de mensen echt met je willen samenwerken, professionals zijn en hart voor Drupal hebben? Zou je nog voorwaarden hebben? Of evt. tips / aanmerkingen? We zijn benieuwd.
Dit is een onderwerp 'voor de langere termijn toekomst', niet om nu meteen opdrachten binnen te halen, maar dit soort vragen schijnen altijd op te borrelen als er een 'netwerk-gelegenheid' (a.k.a. DrupalJam) is… ;-)
