As you know, the internet is buzzing with excitement after the wildly successful Drupal Montreal meetup in January. And so for March (February, where did you go? We hardly knew you!) we'll take the same format - brief presentations from a variety of local Drupal developers - to a bigger and better venue: The Notman House at 51 Sherbrooke, corner Clark.
Everyone's encouraged to submit ideas in the comments below. Talks can be on anything from DrupalCon Chicago to your new favourite module to a case study of a recent project. Refreshments will be served, so be sure to come out and show your Drupal love!
Date: Wednesday, March 30
Time: 6pm - 8pm
Venue:
Notman House
51 Sherbrooke St. West, corner rue Clark
Montreal, QC

J’aime la Maison Notman
This house looks very large. Will it be easy to find out where to meet once inside the house?
Merci.

Make signs
I'm not sure where in the house we'll be meeting, so I'll get there early and make signs etc to direct everyone else. It shouldn't be too hard though!
Can I suggest some coat
Can I suggest some coat hangers? Leaving all our coats on a big pile on a table at the entrance was a little ridiculous at NewTech last night.
The Big Room of Notman house is right by the entrance.
Hidden ponny
It's not a house, it's a stable, at least from Google Street (point of) View...

By the way, I could demo the www.drupal.org/project/semantic_similarity module.

New Date
Unfortunately the Notman House was pre-booked for March 29, but, worry not! We've managed to secure the next day, Wednesday, March 30 for our meetup! We'll be meeting in the main cafe area, which isn't hard to find.
I hope you all can still make it out that day!
Presentations, anyone?
The 30th is quickly catching up with us, so would anyone else like to present on something at the meetup?
Yes!
I've recently been working on a module called Node Tasklist and I would love to demo it. It is the first project I'm officially posting to drupal.org... provided it gets approved at some point. :)
DrupalCamp discussions start
Even though there is another thread specific to DrupalCamp, I believe about one hour should be dedicated to the next DrupalCamp to start the discussion, without taking any decisions.

Sounds good here
After Chicago, I've got some ideas about planning our next camp.
I can do a presentation on
I can do a presentation on the i18n module for Drupal 7. Lots of progress has been made since our last meetup!
I think we should leave DrupalCamp discussion until the end of the meetup to make sure we have enough time for presentations. Since we only have the space until 8pm, we can also take our DrupalCamp discussions to a nearby pub afterwards.
sounds good. i was going to
sounds good. i was going to suggest about half an hour of brainstorming about the next camp. my main ideas are that we should have a track of design/usability sessions (i think we've done this poorly at past camps, but i saw in chicago that there's a broad interest in these), and at least one talk about the drupal community (how to contribute to it, and perhaps where it's headed). this last could be a panel discussion. i'd also like to get the ball rolling on picking a date & venue, since that needs to be finalized relatively early.
Feeds
Anyone wants to hear all the good stuff you can do with feeds? I could present on that.
Sounds very interesting! Are
Sounds very interesting! Are you planning to talk about the Feeds module?
Feeds, capital F
Feeds, xpath_parser, feeds_tamper, multisource... the whole kit and kaboodle :)
Talks so far...
We've got a pretty sweet lineup for the 30th:
See you there!
I'll be missing this meetup,
I'll be missing this meetup, sadly, as I'll be on-site with a client in Boston for the next two weeks.
Cheers
