I'm tempted to remove this group: http://groups.drupal.org/drupalduval
It only has 3 members and no activity - they can post in the general Florida group
What's the policy on this?

Yeah, kill it. Groups which
Yeah, kill it. Groups which are new and inactive for 3 months can be killed. formerly active groups should probably be merged with a more active group rather than orphaning the content.
What about archiving groups?
I've noticed for some time that there is a group type called archive. I thought that meant that groups with no activity for some period of time (maybe 6 months?) or that have been otherwise declared obsolete would be changed to group type archive. This way their content would stay around, but the groups themselves would somehow be filtered out of the list of active groups.
Is this anywhere close to how the "archive" group type is being used?

Yes, I forgot about that
Yes, I forgot about that taxonomy term. Sure, thats a reasonable action to take. All it does is remove the group from the directory. All the content stays put.
On a similar note, the Wales
On a similar note, the Wales group has six members and only cross-posts from the UK group in it. http://groups.drupal.org/wales-uk
