During the lightning talks at last month's North County San Diego meetup, one of our fellow Drupalistas asked about an open source web analytics application that he couldn't remember the name of. Nobody could think of it at the time, but I've since come across a "Piwik" and thought it might be what he was after. In case you haven't found it on your own, and to others who are interested in what "aims to be an open source alternative to Google Analytics", check out Piwik - Open source web analytics--and its Drupal module. ;)
It's advertised as a 5 minute install, and it is. Setup and Drupal implementation took 10. I am now running it in addition to and for comparison with Google Analytics.
