The date for DrupalCamp Edinburgh 2011 has been finalised. It will be held on 21st May in the Informatics Forum, University of Edinburgh.
If you would like to give a session or have an idea of a session you would like to see please email me at duncan.davidson@ed.ac.uk.
Also if you would be interested in sponsoring the DrupalCamp drop me an email and I will respond with details of sponsorship opportunities.
We are working on a website and will have it up soon.
Thanks
Duncan

A tweet by webchick has just reminded me that we should post this as an event so it shows in the calendar!

Is there anyway to lay out the home page for the Scotland group so that Polls, Events, Jobs, Discussions etc are in separate panels (eg, LA Drupal)? The "message" is a bit lost in the current structure, and forthcoming events would be a little more prominent.
Glad to help if you want it.

AFAIK that's done with Panels. Either the group owner can set this up (and I don't know who Digital Spaghetti is...), or we need to contact a site admin. Let's start another discussion for this :)

Date clash
Did you guys know that this co-incides exactly with Drupal Camp UK? Too late to change it? I think a lot of people would love to attend both and attendance will suffer I'm sure.

In touch
Hi Adam
We are in touch with the organisers of Drupal 7 Camp UK. We are looking at ways to work together so that we can benefit from both events. Streaming of sessions etc. There will be some cross-over between the events but their focus is purely D7 dev, themeing and performance whereas we will have a broader line up of sessions across D6 and D7. There will be those who wish to attend both though I am sure there are enough drupalistas to make sure each event is a success.
Thanks for getting in touch.
Duncan
OK great... thanks
OK great... thanks Duncan,
Just seemed a shame as I'd be interested in both and now I have to make a decision, but as you say - plenty choice is a good thing :)
All the best with it and maybe see you there!

Edinburgh Marathon
Strangely enough this works very well for me as I'm running in the Edinburgh Marathon which is the day after on the 22nd.
That also might make it difficult to get about, so people might need to be aware of that.

How on earth did this debacle
How on earth did this debacle come to be?
We haven't had a UK Drupal Camp since June 2009 (which was awesome by the way) and we get 2 on the same day?

Actually, we had a camp in Edinburgh in autumn 2010.
And it's hardly a debacle. Two different teams happen to have picked the same date, that's all.

I've been meaning to connect with Edinburgh Drupal people for a while, not least yourself and snufkin. Now I'm going to have to miss one of them. It is a big thing for me, maybe not for you as you live in Edinburgh!

pity it conflicts with Drupal7
Could the event be re-arranged or even the Leeds event be re-arranged?

Don't forget we've got DrupalCon here in the UK in August too...
