Cannot add, remove or customize RSS feed attached to article listings

I'm hoping that this is a really dumb/easy question.

I am trying to change the feed that is attached to my article listings pages. I have customized those listing pages with specific taxonomy and created a new feed to attach to it.

When I click the "Feed Settings > attach to" link in Views and select the specific article page and save it, it does not change the feed associated with that page. It still shows the default RSS feed "rss/articles/".

I even deleted that general feed (rss/articles/) in the view, hoping that it would break the association, but the rss icon is still in the upper right-hand corner of the article listing, and is still linking to "rss/articles/".

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you.
Joe

I found it. The RSS feed icon

I found it.

The RSS feed icon and feed URL is hard-coded into the template file (views-view--articles--page.tpl.php). I commented it out and the feed icon disappeared.

RSS feed removal

Dear Joe,

I happened to see your problem today. Mostly we suffer from RSS feeds on the front page only.

The solution for this is simple and is described below.

  1. Login and goto content.

  2. Find the node number of the front page, just by placing the mouse pointer on the page link.

  3. Goto site information, put the node/(node number) in the box and save the configuration.

  4. Thats all. The RSS feeds just vanish. The page loading also becomes faster.

You may visit my site to check up the success.... and send your success by contact form. ----------------Jay Kadiyala
