Western Mass Drupal Camp will return to the Integrated Science Building (ISB) at UMass Amherst on January, 21st 2012 (with Jan 28 reserved in case of snow). Anyone interested in learning more about Drupal should plan to attend. Registration and attendance is free to the public. There will be presentations and sessions throughout the day appropriate for people at every level of expertise, from beginners to experts. Mark your calendar!
Interested participants can register at http://drupalcampma.com/ to announce their intention to attend, to propose sessions they could offer, and/or to request sessions that they would like to attend. We are also seeking sponsorships for bringing an outstanding keynote speaker and to provide refreshments and other amenities.
Details are still emerging about the schedule of events. We hope to offer a keynote presentation in the ISB auditorium (ISB135). A welcome-center and exhibition is planned for the atrium. We hope to offer tracks of presentations for beginners, themers and site designers, developers and site-builders, and goal-oriented Drupal users. Two innovative environments will be a "Showcase Bazaar" where people can demonstrate tricks and innovations and a "Code-Sprint Bazaar" where developers can show work-in-progress and encourage participants to get involved. A "Genius Bar" will also be available for people with problems and questions to get expert assistance.

Comments on sessions?
Is there a way to leave comments on the proposed sessions? Last year, I think there was, and I liked the chance to ask a few questions before deciding which sessions to attend.
Comments on proposed sessions - now possible
Enjoy!
Thanks!

Create and account on drupalcampma.com
Hi Rick,
I've been trying to create an account on drupalcampma.com for days and no emails hit my system to allow me to complete the process. I've checked everywhere (Spam, Junk, BoxTrapper on my server, etc.) and it seems the email is just not getting to me. I would like to propose and present a session for DrupalCamp MA...hence my need to have an account on that site. Thanks for any help you might be able to offer!

I turned off email
I turned off email verification, while we look into the issues with the server sending mail. Can you make an account now?
Thanks
Thanks kidizzle...I have an account created...just can't confirm to get it active. Can that account be made active or simply deleted so that I can create one using the same username? The user account in question is "sgorneau". Thanks!
Found it and deleted it.

Oh man...
now the CAPTCHA isn't working correctly...tried three times.
I confirmed. Frustrating! I
I confirmed. Frustrating! I turned off Mollom until someone has a chance to look into it. I just made a test account successfully. Thanks for helping with this!
I've been having the same
I've been having the same problem. I first tried registering about a week ago. I've apparently successfully created a uname, but password was never sent to me, and when I try to get it reset, I just get messages stating that an email has been sent, but nothing actually comes through.
The site uses a different
The site uses a different domain for email (drupalwesternmass@rvtc.us) than the domain of the site itself, so maybe that is causing emails to get caught in spam filters. I got and email from the site today so worked for me (use Gmail). Will see if we can get this changed.
Thanks!
Thanks for all the help! I have an active account now :D
Snow?
So it looks like snow, sleet for Saturday all day...is there any word on whether or not this will be moved to Jan 28?
Definitely maybe.
Check the home page: it definitely might be postponed until 1/28.
Oh well....
I was really hoping for that :/ Really disappointed that I won't make it.
Snow Seems to be Plaguing my DrupalCamp attendance
I got stuck in NH for the DrupalCamp in October, due to the freak snow storm. Now CT and MA are going to get snow for DrupalCampMA. Ahh the weather of New England.

Camp still on for tomorrow!
Looks like they updated the page again today, saying they're only expecting 1-3 inches in Amherst. So the camp is still a go for tomorrow!

"A Responsive Approach With Drupal" and "Apps + Drupal"
To anyone that was interested in attending the "A Responsive Approach With Drupal" and "Apps + Drupal" presentations, I'm really sorry that I had to cancel those sessions. With the weather (more specifically the timing of it) there is just no way I could guarantee I would be there on time and prepared. I really am sorry. Erring on the side of caution, I made the call early today so that Rick could fill the spots with other presentations. I hope to attend later in the day. All the best,
Shaun Gorneau
If someone can let Rick know...
I'm happy to give a session on responsive design in Drupal at 11. We've done a lot of it at Schoolyard & my other session isn't until 1.
Cheers -
Jason
(sorry you're not going to make it though!)

Drupal and Node.js cancelled
Hi guys,
In case this hasn't been mentioned anywhere yet beejeebus will still be in transit from Australia to the US so will be unable to present his session at 4pm. Shaun you may want to present in his place at 4pm if that is ok with everyone else. I don't know who would need to set this up?
Just in case
If anyone is interested the University Hotel across the street had rates of $79 bucks a night, their website is http://www.umasshotel.com, use promo code WW12
Can not make the trip
Due to the amount of snow I received at my house and the length of my commute, i will NOT be able to present today (Drupal 7 Site Building). If DrupalCamp is still on, i will post my slides on the website. I'm so sorry for any inconvenience.
