Guys,
I have some spare files i am willing to put on pile to create free drupal themes. If anybody is willing to create a theme from: http://temp.jakubsuchy.cz/drupalcon.png let me know and I will send a PSD to you.

I'd help get it started
I'd be happy to help get this started, since it looks pretty straight forward. Contact me via my contact form and I can do an initial theme, and then we (you, I, or others) could tweak it from there.
Fireworks FTW
I'm not starting a "I like X software" reply, but I have Photoshop yet I only use Fireworks for web designs - even reading PSD files. I will keep watch on this post and see if I can chime in anywhere to help.

fireworks & photoshop
I use both as both have strengths. Photoshop for the obvious reasons (the "bad-arse-grandaddy-of-all-graphics-program" reason) however, when i create sprite sheets, well, nothing is easier than Fireworks.
Then there is export as favicon command extension. which is a great time saver!

Have you triedpsd2cssonline.com?
Have you tried psd2cssonline.com? The demo of this service at San Diego DrupalCamp was amazing.
psd2cssonline.com
I've never used psd2cssonline.com, however their homepage throws 129 errors as XHTML 1.0 Transitional.
Blessings!

doesn't seem like the place for this
While this may be a start for total n00bs, I feel that this site isn't relevant here.
I think this group is here to clarify the methods/improve the experience of designing for Drupal 6, and to help shape the theming functionality of D7 to be more friendly for web design professionals. You could argue the aforementioned site does make designing easier, but I'm against automatic tools for the most part. They don't help give any insight into how things actually work. They just make people lazy and don't advance our cause.

Thanks for sharing your opinion
Thanks for sharing your opinion. My approach used to be more like yours but that ended a couple years ago when my work with Drupal stopped being a hobby. The time I'm willing to spend to get from point A to point B is more valuable now and I'm always interested in tools that offer to get me half of the way there.
That being said, there should be enough room is this group for everyone. I haven't used psd2cssonline.com yet and I was asking in case anyone here has used them.
