Temecula Area DUG?

I have been trying to get some local folks to meet up in the Temecula/Murrieta area and found that there are very few of us around this area.

Not knowing the level of expertise, availability, or meeting frequency that possible attendees would enjoy, I thought I would just show up someplace and extend an invitation to anyone interested.

I plan on going to the Temecula Public Library every Tuesday evening from 6-8pm in the Grace Mellman Heritage Room, or one of the private rooms if it is booked, starting tomorrow, 5/22/2012 and or a month or so to see how it goes.

Please stop by and introduce yourself and please forward this email to any local Drupalers you may know that might also be interested. I will put up a Drupal sign or something on the window or desk so you know where to find me.

No takers yet (although one person said they did show up but could not find me ), but I look forward to seeing any local Drupalers. I will give it a few more weeks and if nothing happens, at least there was some effort. I will definitely try to hook up with google+ on your Tuesday meetings. If gas wasn't $4.50 a gallon, I would go to LA, Ontario or even Sand Diego's. If I can find some locals, we could possibly carpool to those meetings.

The Temecula Library has some firewall filters on many video feeds (vimeo, etc.) to protect the children from unsavory drupal screencasts, but have not tried a hangout yet. We'll see. I can always proxy around their firewall if need be.

I am new to the Drupal world but am very anxious and was excited to see this group posting. I am in Corona, so Temecula is not too far for me at all. I look forward to seeing if this group is still going!
