Hello Everybody,
I am currently working on my first OP Site.
Have a question / input regarding the whole Navigation System/Structure of OP...
I identified three issues, meybe there are easy solutions available, i couldn't find them in the group nor in the issue queue or OP Documentation:
1) Keeping the Topic-Menu active when displaying a Node/Article
The Topic-Vocabulary builds the Topic-Navigation.
In my opinion, it would make sense, to show the user where the current node is put in the Navigation/Vocabulary. To accomplish that the Topic-Menu should be active on Node-Detail Pages.
I haven't found a way to accomplish that yet. Any suggestions?
2) Aggregating all secondlevel-Term Articles on the firstlevel Navigation Term Pages
When you have a Topic Vocabulary like:
Sports
- Soccer
- Football
- Baseball
It would make sense, to show all Articles from Soccer, Football and Baseball on the "Sports" Topic page. Not only the ones wich are exactly tagged with "Sports". I haven't found a way to accomplish that with Context and views of the default OP installation. Any suggestion appreciated.
3) URL Structure (solved)
The default URL structure does not represent the navigation structure of op.
So instead of
/article/myarticle
i changed the URL to
/1stlevel-Term/secondlevel-Term/myarticle
Wich makes a lot more sense. This was very easy to solve with Pathauto Module wich is installed by default.
The mentioned "Problems" or Issues exist on the demo pages of OP as well as on lots of implementations. Maybe there is a easy way to solve it or there is already documentation available for this.
Best Regards,
Sandro
