I have the acquia drupal and it stated I needed several updates, so I downloaded them straight from the page with in my drupal admin page. I then uploaded them to the proper folders and now all I get is

Fatal error: Call to undefined function ctools_include() in /home2/socalcre/public_html/modules/ctools/page_manager/page_manager.module on line 665

Trying to log in using the User page, I get the same response.

Even when I try to run the update.php file, I get a blank screen.

I did back up all the files, should I just restore them and start all over or what?

Did you simply the files

Did you simply the files over your existing modules? Lots of changes were done in Panels and Ctools, such as the renaming and restructuring of the files, so if you copied over rather than deleted/replaced, it's very likely you have some extra files around that you shouldn't.

I seemed to have forgot that cardinal rule, however going back and deleting all the files and then uploading the correct files didn't help at all.

So I deleted the ctools only and uploaded the backup, yet there still is this issue. I need some serious help.

Did you try running

Did you try running update.php? Make sure you have the actual Ctools module enabled, sounds like something might have gotten borked in that it's disabled and yet the page manager module is enabled.

SELECT status FROM system WHERE name = 'ctools';
UPDATE system SET status = 1 WHERE name = 'ctools';

Brenda, The CTools was

Brenda,

The CTools was enabled before the update, but I can't be sure as I can't get to any manager screen or any part of the website.

However I did get in to phpMyAdmin and ran
SELECT status FROM system WHERE name = 'ctools';

It shows '1' already, so it is enabled with the backup software in place. Any other ideas? I am available by phone from now till 1pm if you have the time, I would appreciate it. 619.993.5035

I decided to try to disable it by altering the status to '0' to turn it off to see where that goes...interestingly enough, the database says 'ok' does it and then when the screen refreshes, its back to '1'. WIERD! Tried this a couple of times with the same result.

When I did the update, I got a blank screen and the url changed to "http://www.socalcreations.net/update.php?op=info" Not sure what that means, but I could really use some assistance, please.
