This year, there will be two Drupal government days. One in Europe (yet to be announced) and one in North America, DC to be specific.
The North American conference will be held at the National Institutes of Health in Bethesda, Maryland. The event is a joint conference with Mil-OSS and will have multiple tracks this year and span 2 days. More information is available on our splash page http://drupal4gov.drupalgardens.com/
We are actively working to launch the website, but I could use some help with theming. If you're a themer and would like to work on the site, drop me a line. I'm not a themer and I could use some help from folks who really understand theming.
You can contact event organizers at drupal4gov@gmail.com for sponsorship information for the North American Drupal Government Days event. If you sign up on the site, you will be the first to hear when the main site goes live.

Btw - Deb Bryant is presenting via Hangout at the Hamburg Drupal User Group on 8th July (7pm CET, so I think 1pm where you are) - would you be around to give a quick overview of Drupal in Government in the US? If you've got more details about the GovDays by then, you could speak a bit about that.

Hi both - that sounds really great to have 2 DGD in 2013 - very interested in the Brussels event - please keep me in the loop on this - we could support to e.g. organise a talk about the EC Open Data Portal (built on CKAN and Drupal, http://open-data.europa.eu/) as integrator is a partner of us and located near Brussels and we ourselves could provide something for the web based market place of DG ENV / European Innovation Partnership on Water (EIP-W) that will be launched in 09/13 if interesting based on Drupal and including semantic technologies...cheers - martin
