All Drupal service providers in Montreal and Quebec have a vested interest in promoting the adoption and advancement of Drupal regionally. It's for this that TP1 has taken the initiative in spreading the word on advancements and events related to Drupal in Montreal by utilizing some additional channels to reach broader audiences.
We have created a Facebook Page for news and events related to Drupal Montreal. We believe Facebook Pages are an effective mechanism to reach the broader audience of Facebook users.

There is also a Twitter account we hope to better utilize in the future: http://twitter.com/drupalmontreal.
Become a fan of the Drupal Montreal Facebook Page and follow @drupalmontreal for announcements of future meet-ups, code sprints, etc.
Of course these channels are not meant to replace groups.drupal.org, but to be used as an additional conduit to relay information to users who may not be active on groups.drupal.org. We realize this introduces some duplication of effort, of which TP1 is offering to help out with. Please contact us if you would like to help us manage these channels.
The November Drupal Montreal Meetup will be hosted by TP1 at our downtown office -- stay tuned for more details!

November Drupal Montreal Meetup
Those are very good ideas.
Please create the event as soon as possible to let people add this event to their agenda quickly.
For the French speaking, I have created a French Drupal group on FaceBook:

We're looking at November 3
We're looking at November 3 or 4. I'll post the event details as soon as I hear back from a few key people on their date preference.
Event + français
Thanks! The event information will posted as soon as a date is selected.
Pour ce qui du français, je propose d'utiliser la page Facebook et le compte Twitter dans une langue ou l'autre : c'est ce que nous faisons sur notre page Facebook (http://facebook.com/tp1.ca) et ça semble fonctionner plutôt bien !
