Work-day DUG Meetup?

Events happening in the community are now at Drupal community events on www.drupal.org.

I'm wondering if there is any interest in doing a DUG Meetup during business hours?

As a user of Drupal at my regular job, I think it would be easier to convince my boss to let me go during the day, than It would be to convince my wife to let me go in the evening.

I can provide a room with internet access and a projector in Spanish Fork.

You had me until Spanish Fork! :) It's not a bad idea, but may be hard to quantify the ROI for an employer. Might be worth creating a poll to see the interest.

I'm not opposed to something like that, the Salesforce user group does that. I do worry about those who don't do Drupal as their primary work though. They might have just as many problems getting there during work as trying to convince their spouses. That shouldn't discourage trying it out, but it is a possible limitation to be aware of.

I'd like to see another meet

I'd like to see another meet up going for Utah County. I realize that the drive on a weekday afternoon to Salt Lake is tough coming from the south. Pick a couple of days that might work for you and throw it out there to see who 'd like to come.

work hours

I'd be fine to do a dug meetup during work hours and I think I could swing it with the bosses. I'm not so eager to drive to Utah county though as I live in Davis. Could teleconferencing help us here? Maybe we all get together in our respective geographical locations and then do a google hangout? It seems like a conference room in slc and a conference room in utah county would be easy enough to join together.

This is a good idea in general. Jeremy has done a lot to make our presence a little better know. Sharing in this way could help people all over the state and beyond, if they are interested in being involved. If it is during the work day or in the evening, it could still allow more people to be involved in the community.

My office volunteers

I can volunteer my office for doing this. It's right at the point of the mountain at I-15 and Bangerter. We've got enough space for 15 people or so in our break room between couches and tables. We could put another few around the ping pong table if we had a really good response!
