If I can't install Open Publish, which OP install files can I install to mimic it

Events happening in the community are now at Drupal community events on www.drupal.org.

I get all the modules. I see the theme.
But how about the contents?
I love the article content with the built in teaser for the front page.
I also like the relationships between pages.
How can I use all that, but only in drupal.
Is there a place in the file structure where I can find the files that define the contents?

For clarification: in OP up to and including version 1.6, the cck file definitions are under cck folder in the profiles/openpublish folder.
