I'm not sure if I can attend

mkmagu's picture

I'm not sure if I can attend but I do have a case of water left over from the Camp I'll try to remember to bring it to the meetup this week.

How do I see the number of signups for this event

BruceDawson's picture

I'd like for others to see how many have signed up for the event so they know how much food to bring (or not). Is it possible to show that info?

Good question, Bruce.

I think that for privacy reasons only Group organizers and event creators can see the sign-up list.

Even if folks making food could see that list, it may not accurately the real number of attendees. For example, right now there are 6 RSVPs, but we have no way to know how many of those people are brining family members. This is one reason we use Meetup for the Seacoast DUG, where members can indicate if they are bringing guests.

Would you like for me to create a Meetup Event for Saturday so we can handle RSVPs there? If so, just let me know.

I can come

mkmagu's picture

My surgery was postponed so I can come. It would also be good to have a list of things that people will be bringing so we don't have 6 of the same thing. You know anything I bring will be meat free!

Yipee!

Glad to have you Mary - hope you won't be in much pain though. The more vegan dishes the better - it drives the appeal of meat dishes ! ;-)

Jake & I will be there. What

Jake & I will be there. What should we bring?

Accessibility?

ttamniwdoog's picture

Bruce,
If the weather is good, 4 out of the 6 of us are planning on coming and bringing some delicious homemade potato and egg salad.
My only concern is whether or not my daughter's wheelchair will be able to move easily throughout the farm. We can usually manage it well on most surfaces but wet or tall grass is a problem and obviously stairs are an issue too.

All,
I'd like to propose to order some Drupal festive cupcakes if folks think it's a good idea.
I don't have a baker in mind necessarily but I did just order some for our last Keene Meetup and they were a real hit.
I just want to spend some of our Camp money on treats :-)

Sigh. We had the ramp removed

BruceDawson's picture

Sigh. We had the ramp removed a few years ago - it was causing more injuries than the stairs. Even still, the house isn't very wheelchair friendly (being over 150 years old). But "narrow" wheel chairs can get around once inside - there are 2 steps up to the ground floor from outside. None of the function will be on the 2nd or basement floors.

Most of the property (that is city-people friendly) is hard-packed gravel, and as long as the wheel chair has "all terrain" tires (large diameter), you should be good outside.

Also, we'll be bringing select animals out for people to ride/pet/see, so there's shouldn't be a need to go in a grassy field - unless someone really wants to.

I like cupcakes!

Cupcakes

BozHogan's picture

My girlfriend calls me cupcakes. So I'll take this as a compliment.

TBD

damienmckenna's picture

I'm still TBD because we have a house full of invaders / visitors. :-\

Invaders

BozHogan's picture

Do the invaders have long white ears? Cause LOOK OUT! I think I see one sneaking up on you from behind.

Looks like it will be a great

Bob Newby's picture

Looks like it will be a great time, especially in light of the current weather forecast.

Our new family member, Jemma, is having her 9-weeks-old birthday on Friday, and it is just too soon to engage her in a field trip to Loudon. Too bad, because she is one spirited Westie, and I have no doubt she would love all the farm animals, etc.

So, unfortunately we'll have to pass. Perhaps next time around.

Bob

My sincere apologies for

rggoode's picture

My sincere apologies for dropping the ball on plans for the summit. For the last couple of months, chaos has been the rule of the day, and my focus has been scattered at best.

I will definitely be attending, although, I can't say for sure how long I can stay. I'll drop a note in the other post when I figure out what I'm bringing.

Thank you Bruce for picking up where I dropped off. What's your favorite brew? I owe you a few beers, at least.

Roger

Not going to make it :(

damienmckenna's picture

Between a project deadline and family members visiting, I'm not going to make it :-( Hope you all have a great time!

Sigh.

BruceDawson's picture

We'll miss you and your family! At least you won't have to worry about taking home leftovers!

Greetings from Shanghai

BozHogan's picture

This sounds like lots of fun. I'm sorry to miss it. Shanghai sends it's best! I'm giving a 2 hour presentation on Definitive Drupal 8 at their mini-camp next weekend. They are really stoked about the project. I'll Fedex some Tofu with Agaric Mushrooms for the potluck. Wait....Tofu "keeps" pretty well doesn't it? Second thought.....never mind.
