本次聚会，我们邀请了Boz Hogan给我们介绍关于《Drupal 8 权威指南》一书的编写、翻译、审核以及如何参与等。

Boz 之前负责《Drupal 7 权威指南》一书英文版的组织和发行工作。如果你有兴趣了解和参与《Drupal 8 权威指南》，这次聚会你将不容错过。

当天人山人海了都，多亏龙马组织安排了好多精彩话题。

也谢谢演讲者Jill、Marvin和Boz，带来了许多新鲜话题。

特别是Boz Hogan，从(美国)远道而来，对我们而言意义重大。
Drupal聚会开展这么久，Boz可能是海外来的最重要的一位演讲者。

Boz肩负许多有关The Definitive Drupal 8书（《The Definitive Drupal 8》，有些人叫它D-Date)方面的重大任务，这一次其中一项重要目标是实现由本地中国人参与的DD8汉语版本。

演讲以一个简短的话题头脑风暴和Q&A结束， 许多参加者都表示出了极大的兴趣和参与愿望。

Great thanks to everyone for attending the Meetup!
Attendance was to the roof, probably due to the very interesting topics Jack managed lining up.

Thanks very much to all the speakers with a wide range of subjects: Jill, Marvin and Boz.

Our very special thanks go to Boz Hogan, for coming from so far (USA) to China and attending the Drupal Workshop, it definitely meant a lot to us.
I don't think we ever had the chance to welcome to any Drupal Workshop a presenter from overseas as important as Boz.

Indeed, he has been invested with the tremendous mission of carrying further the DD8 book project (or as some of us call it D-Date): The Definitive Drupal 8 and this time, as part of project's most ambitious objectives, it would see the creation of a fully native Chinese version of the DD8 book (among other languages).
Boz's presentation was very complete, going through the history of the project, its purpose, its vision, Drupal 7's version, Topic Teams and Roles, and so much more... We certainly invite you to take a closer look at the full presentation attached to this comment, file named: DD8-China-Presentation.pdf.

His presentation ended with a short topics brainstorming session and Q&A where many meetup attendees appeared to be thrilled with the book project and wanted to know more about how they could be a part of it.
For those who made any commitments or would be interested to know more, make sure you follow up with Jack and Boz for the next steps to be part of the great DD8 project. Additionally, feel free to post any more questions, follow-ups or ideas in the comments below, that should hopefully keep the discussions going around the DD8 project.

Before going back to the US, Boz still has several presentation dates scheduled around China, in Guangzhou and Beijing which will probably be announced in different Groups and events, so stay tuned and if you are in the city at that time, make sure you don't miss those.

Mega kudos to Shawn, for standing up right by Boz throughout the entire presentation and taking a boring Chinese-humor deficient presentation, making it interesting on the fly. He really went over the presentation ahead of time and embellished a lot to make it work much better for a Chinese audience. Not an easy job, to which he seemed to have succeeded quite well.

For those who missed the event or couldn't make it, feel free to take a look at the Meetup photos, there are some pretty nice shots of the presentations or group photos that should give you a feel of the friendly but studious atmosphere.

Coming up next Saturday, Drupal Global Training Days in Shanghai: a full day of training Introduction to Drupal, free of charge. Specialized training for beginners, so make sure to pass the word around to colleagues, friends, family, etc... anybody that could benefit from learning some Drupal basics in a day.

Training is back at next month's Workshop: Drupal Workshop SH - September 20th, for site builders, approaching beasts such as Views or Display Suite. As usual, we'll be co-working from morning till evening and we are definitely looking for speakers for the Meetup, so we'd greatly appreciate if anybody could step forward with presentation topics. Make sure you sign-up on the Sept Workshop event's page.
