Dear Friends,

Can we think for community meetup in Ahmedabad ?

As i know there are many people, connected with Drupal so once we meet then we can able to share and learn many new things.

I believe all Drupal lovers will comment on my post and give the positive response.

Guy's Don't thing about the sponsors, first lets understand what is our head count... agree ?

They are many people connected with Drupal in Gujarat as well as in Ahmedabad.

Nowadays numbers of students choosing drupal as their careers start-up. So if we organize this kind of meetup or small camp then it will be very helpful for students to choosing their career with Drupal. They will get more detailed idea about Drupal, Drupal Community, Opportunities with Drupal and Future of Drupal.

I firmly believe that there is whole lot of people in Ahmedabad who loves to work with Drupal.
We should surely arrange a meetup in Ahmedabad.

Recently, I have visited Drupal Camp Delhi 2015. It was unique experience.

I would request to all Drupal-lovers to support this initiative. There is lot that we can learn by collaborating and sharing.

Counting me in for this. Once the date and venue is finalized we can let more people know about this. As Gaurav mentioned, I guess the action items for now would be:
- venue finalization
- date finalization
- agenda

For venue, are we open to do at any company premises? The D7 Release party was nicely organized at Cignex office. We can ask to any company who would be interested to organize at their premises.

For date, I prefer any Sunday so that everyone can join without disturbing job schedule.

For agenda, as it would be a meetup after long time, I would suggest networking with local Drupalers, Knowledge sharing on selected topics, planning for regular meetups in future and basic Drupal training (if more number of students/freshers are joining).

Thank you all for showing your interest. Agree, It's been so long we have organized any Drupal Meetup in Gujarat. It's time to re-activate our Group.

Currently we are approaching for a small meetup of drupal developers in Ahmedabad/Gujarat in Mid of March. Agenda would be introduction of drupalers, planning on regular meetups, Code Sprints and Drupal Camp in Gujarat.

Tentative Date is 14th March. Venue is yet to decided. Couple of interesting suggestions received - River Front, Coffee Shops. We are open for other suggestion as well.

Agree with Ghansyam, We are not focusing on the sponsors, this would be a self driven. We just need to re-activate the things first.

Currently we are team of few Druaplers working on gathering details of Drupal Developers in Gujarat and contacting them to be a part of this meetup.

Also, we are running a Drupal Team - Gujarat group on Whatsup.

I believe that DO is a good option to manage a list of Drupalers and other discussion.

To make this event successful, We also need volunteers too. If anyone is interested please drop me PM.

Now we are looking for meetup location, we checked for the location at Gujrat University, but probably they are indirectly asking for sponsors and we don't have for now.

Advice to create an event

Dear, Kausha,

Instead of counting one by one, i advice you to create a event form from right menu and ask all members to register their, this will help to manage the head count.

I believe every one is looking for the timing 10am to 1pm.

Also keep option of light refreshment, if required all member will contribute the amount.
