Need General help with Rules (referenced node)

I am really lost... I am trying to find a place that I can get help with my Rules issue. I am unable to refer a referenced node (a referenced content type) and all of it's fields back to my current node (current content type) like i was able to do very easily in Drupal 6's rules.

I feel like I'm looking at a very dynamic beast as compared to the simplicity of how D6's rules was designed.

Can you point me to some videos I can watch? I'm surfing thru the Rules Documentation but can't find what i'm looking for. Any examples or videos might help. I've been watching Drupalize me but, i sort of have the same problem no matter where i go... nobody is showing me how to simply reference a node... For instance, in drupal 6 it was simply called "Load a Referenced Node"! Easy In the end, I require a lot more assistance i think when it comes to Drupal 7 Rules. Where can I go if I'm 'not getting it'?
