Just a couple things.
- Installing OP on Dreamhost.
In the past couple days I've been working on my site at DH. I thought it would be a big problem installing it based on comments I have read. However, since I just upgraded to a PS account there I decided to try it fresh with OP 2.0. Result? First time, and quick. What a comparison with installing it on my home computer. I had to keep upping the time out times. Anyway, it does work on PS at Dreamhost just fine so far.
- I don't understand much about software lingo, etc. So, I'm stuck at the moment on the adding PECL to the site. Is PECL a module that is loaded into the OpenPublish program? Or, is it installed elsewhere? If so, where and how? Would appreciate an answer from anyone who has added it to their OP installation.
Thanks,
Bob

Bob, PECL is a PHP extension
Bob,
PECL is a PHP extension installer, a command-line tool to install additional PHP modules easily (or, more easily than before PECL).
What did you need PECL for?

PECL
Irakli,
On the "status report" page of OpenPublish is this statement:
Your server is capable of displaying file upload progress, but does not have the required libraries. It is recommended to install the PECL uploadprogress library (preferred) or to install APC.
So, that is why I'm asking. I have no idea where to put PECL. Or, how. Or, if the above statement really has no bearing on OP. ???
Also, I read somewhere on the OP discussion list that PECL sped up things for OP.
you probably need mod_php to
you probably need mod_php to make pecl works. You must have PS to enable mod_php for DH.
