I run an online magazine (www.largecarmag.com) that features about a dozen articles a month, each with a photo gallery (sometimes with as many as 800 images). Is OpenPulish an ideal solution for this, or is there another solution that would be better? I currently author the site in Dreamweaver and FTP everything each month. I'm looking to get away from this method using a CMS such as Drupal.
Thanks in advance!

Sure. It actually has a pretty nice image gallery information architecture (content types + relationships + edit screens).
Its default, rudimentary visualization of the gallery definitely won't work for anything serious, but since those are always very specific to a publication anyway and you can easily change it through a TPL, it should be fine.
