I know this probably isn't the best place to ask this question, but whatever became of Tattler? It seems that the original download is still present on the Tattler App site. The Twitter feed has been alluding to a new version for several months now. Any Timetable? This was a really great start on a cool app, but it definitely needs a refresh.

I understand this it not the best answer, but we want to release something worthwhile so all I can say for now is - code is being written and when it is out it will be much more kick-ass than ever. The major problem is that we initially tried to put it together using contrib modules to their full extent. It created some serious scalability issues.
We want to release a major upgrade some time in October. There may or may not be a maintenance release in between. Depends on how several tests go.

Thanks for the update. It was tattler, which attracted me to openpublish.

Thanks for the update
Tattler has some really great potential, but I've been struggling to figure out its "secret sauce" so I can make some changes. For instance, being able to pull in the teaser or full text of an RSS feed. It seemed simple at first, but hard to implement.
I really see Tattler as a Curating module for an OpenPublish site. In other words, use Tattler to sort through and vote on relevant articles, then push the filtered feed to OP. But to do this, ala Huffington Post, we need some additional fields on the feed, so we can construct a good "weblink article."
I'm having trouble understanding why body fields don't show up on mention "content type" edit forms, but show up in the little "edit widget" on the front page mention. And the body text selected seems arbitrary, usually snatched from the middle of articles.
Of course, this could just be a broken site, since I manually updated most of the contrib modules. :-)
tattler could be a publis instrument... but it is not so
This cause every one seems to see Tattler like an aggregate tool and an easy way to improve content in a CMS...
but it was born to be a listening instrument... really great to provide a quality monitoring of web buzz...
When could we have a new release!?!
thanks to all!!!
