I was considering OpenPublish instead of using WordPress. I figured a bundled install profile of Drupal would be quick enough to compete with what WordPress comes with out of the box. (I can configure Drupal as I need it, but cost/time is an issue in this case.) However, I didn't see any mention of built-in workflow functionality, which I would think is necessary for any real publishing company or newspaper. And I didn't see a demo site anywhere (although I did see some nice OP sites listed in the showcase thread).
Does OP come with workflow functionality built in, so authors can only post for review, and editors can publish? (As well as associated views?)

p.s. - again, I know about the workflow module, and can configure it and create all my views; wanted to know what comes built-in inside Open Publish.

People need to be able to make articles, but not post right away.
Doing this with workflow module is a great enhancement and should be considered bringing into OP

@resveld - did you find you needed to do any enhancements or views tweaks to integrate it nicely with Open Publish? I've used it before and found it needed some love to set up in a usable way.

I had to change the values for the display of the views.
I don't want it based on title, but on post date liek it should be imo.
Besides that I also disabled some modules that where not needed and some where added (among which workflow)

There's some more modules that could be in but that's a different discussion ;)
Work flow is coming
We agree. Initially we skipped it because so many of our clients and people we talked to, had different needs. We decided to wait. We have decided it is time to re-address that policy and so you will see it soon in coming releases. @irakli can answer specifics.
