What does the OP2.3 update (I recall a late October release date bandied about) include? The first D7 beta was just released and I wonder when D7 support will come to OP? Thanks.

If I was a betting man I'd put money on late Q1 2011. They can't upgrade OP to 7 until there's an official release of D7 (out of beta, after release candidates). Not to mention fixing or substituting the various modules that aren't D7 supported.
new features and enhancements
New features include:
workflow module
editor's choice (nodeblocks)
facebook integration
And hopefully:
Context upgrade to 3.0
Features and API upgrade to 1.0 (which requires a lot of work on the OP site due to changed Features API)
And some other stuff/enahancements that I don't know of :)
D7 will be there, but only planned for late 2011 as OP requires a lot of 3rd party modules which haven't been upgraded.

As for D7 - we will have an early alpha for the DrupalCon Chicago. It's impossible to have a version of OpenPublish that will have everything 2.3 does but on D7, but we are also not planning D7 OP to be a 1-for-1 replacement for OP 2.x. Some things may work differently (we like to believe - better) and in general it should provide similar functionality.
So alpha in March, and rapidly iterating after that towards the goal of a final release.
Obviously - upgrading or replacing 150+ modules is no small task, however by far the biggest challenge will be data migration. We really want to provide the ability to migrate your data from 2.3 to 3.0 (D7), at least for those installations that have not altered content types, and that's gonna be quite some challenge.

D7 Upgrade Help
Might not be the best place for this comment, but I am hoping to get the status of the D7 upgrade and what is needed to have a release. My company and I are looking to deploy several sites using openpublish but we want to launch on D7. Let me know what my team and I can do to help get the upgrade released. I didn't see any git repo for openpublish or any reference to D7 testing or roadmap. Thanks
