Are you planning to attend DrupalCampPDX on Saturday, May 10?
Just saying hello to Drupal folk in Portland...
Greetings All,
Finally coming out of solo drupal development land and plugging into the local community. Just dropping a note to say hey and introduce myself to the Portland folks. Have been building drupal sites for a couple years now solo and just waking up to realize community is what this is all about... (yah I know what the heck took so long :) hoping to attend the next Portland group meeting and very much looking forward to the upcoming camp.
Peace,
Jeffrey Dalton

Google index
Hello all,
I can't figure out why Google won't index my site. I'm super frustrated! Is someone willing to talk me through this?

DrupalCampPDX Programming wiki FREEZE tomorrow night
We want as many of you as possible to participate in programming so please join the fun. A mix of knowlwdge and perspective adds value to programming.
Please remember that if you would like to be a part of formal programming then you need to update the DrupalCampPDX wiki before tomorrow night is over. Remember to add your names to existing items if you would like to be part of a panel discussion on that subject. We still need need more "lightening" programming items, though we will also have sign-up for these and other BarCamp style items at con.
Also, if you have already signed up and your talk/panel will NOT be an hour long, please mark it with your estimated time.
Thanks all,
Grant
Portland April Meeting
I just started a new job that's got me totally busy hacking on D6 trying to build out an internationalized site so I'm learning plenty of new stuff--but the downside is I've turned into a total slacker on everything else and didn't do any planning for the April meeting. I'm sure we'll have something like 30 minutes of discussion about the programming for the upcoming DrupalCampPDX.
But can someone save my butt and present a topic? Can everyone pick a module that they like and do a 5 minute pitch for it? Otherwise the silence will drive me crazy and I'll subject you to a boring talk on how great D6 does i18n.

Hi all. See the full version (click on "Read more") of this discussion for the planned program for our upcoming DrupalCampPDX. Comments and suggestions welcome. Those of you who volunteered for program please let us know ASAP if there are any issues with time slots. We tried to keep everyone who volunteered involved (please let me know if we missed you) and we tried to ensure that programming items on at the same time would overlap in interest as little as possible. However, we had 22 programming items for 10 slots and had to merge several items. Again, please let us know if our decisions trouble you. Also reply here if you want to change the wording for your panel or such.
Note that we are keeping most of the evening and one room open all day for traditional Camp-style programming and socializing. There are also a couple of other places where socializing can occur, most notably some picnic-stle tables just outside the conference center. With plenty to eat and drink we hope that this event will be useful in every way possible. Click on "Read more" to see Program.
Read moreCreating a test/development site
Hi folks,
I need to create a parallel test and development site on a subdomain for a client. It seems like a fairly straightforward task - copy everything over, and then change the database access stuff - that's in settings.php, right? And change the access permissions so that the public is not reading that site.
But I was wondering if there is a tutorial for doing this, or some common mistakes to avoid. I searched on Drupal.org (and google) and didn't find anything, but sometimes the search features aren't that good at finding such things.
Thanks for any tips.

I am researching ad serving software and came across the openads or openx module for Drupal. Anyone have experience using this with or without Drupal? Or using other ad serving software for publishers. The site is http://www.openx.org/
Read moreTwo questions about my custom module
Hi, I've written a simple module to page tabular query results but I get different results depending on login. The main callback from the menu works great but some other functions don't fire for anonymous users. Do I need to register all these in the menu? Or use a different system?
Also, can any item be added to the Drupal 5 menu with drupal_goto as a callback? We'd like to add some dynamic menu items for admins. Is there a wildcard for paths?

Per my previous post, if you want to come to DrupalCampPDX 2008 then you need to sign up AND register at the DrupalCampPDX 2008 site ASAP. It looks like there are only 35 spots left. We will be promoting ourselves a bit this weekend at BarCamp and we want to be sure you group members get signed up first. Further, if you sign up and then realize you can't make it, please let us know so that we can free a spot up, if need be. Thanks and looking forward to seeing all of you there.
