DrupalCampPDX 2008 Volunteers Needed
The big day is almost here and last I checked, after cleaning up our database, there is just one spot left. To think I thought a cap might not needed and that at most we'd get 50 or 60. Amazing!
Anyway, WE NEED HELP. As you know this is all run by volunteers and we will need more volunteers on the day, to do the following:
- Set-up on Friday night
- Watching the front door (it is a locked door) in 1-hour shifts all day
- Working the registration desk (check if registered, then give nametag) in 1-hour shifts all day
- Cleanup and tear-down Saturday evening.
All help greatly appreciated and very much needed. Please reply here to volunteer for anything, no matter if it's just and hour or two. It is all going to be a huge help. Be sure to tell me if your user name here matches your user name for DrupalCampPDX 2008. Also, please mention the areas you can help with (specify number/s) and for how many hours. Or alternatively, I can give you access to our volunteer Google doc (you may need a Google email) and you can fill in what you want to help with.

With everyone worn out from DrupalCampPDX we're going to skip the May meeting and regroup in June. I've been discussing a possible move to a new location but we'll keep the current time. I'll post more details when they're firmed up.

Hey folks,
I've got a block which creates a popup using jquery. But my client wants the popup to appear over the main content, to the right of the block, which is in the left sidebar. But the part of it that stretches over the boundary, outside of the left sidebar, is not visible. I tried using z-index, and that doesn't help.

Read moreDrupalCampPDX Thanks For Coming
I just wanted to say thank you for coming to DrupalCampPDX, thank you to all of the presenters and volunteers. Today I talked to the PSBA and they were happy how clean everything was left. They told me (neutralSpace) that we are welcome to host other events here in the future. With that being said if we are interested in finding a new location I could work with the PSBA to host our monthly meetings.
Thanks
Kerry
Read moreDrupal Camp PDX T-Shirts: Re-Order?
We sold every last one of the T-shirts this Saturday, thanks to both Theresa's great design work and the generosity and contribution of everyone who came!
A few people expressed interest in ordering more t-shirts. I am unavailable for helping in any way other than handing off the details and contacts. But please contact me directly if you are interested in organizing this process.

Read moreQuestion about user profile
Hi folks,
I'd like to make a couple of fields that I added to the user profile view only. Only the admin will be able to enter new users. Users can update their profiles but I want to prevent them from changing a couple of fields. I'm using Drupal 5.7 with the profiletabs module.
I realise this is probably obvious but I'm stuck as I am still pretty new to Drupal. I've searched and searched for the answer and also posted it on the support forum with no response.
Can you please stir me in the right direction? I'm prepared to buy you a beer! :)
Thanks!

Oregon Community Foundation put an RFP out for redesign of its website (PDF). I reviewed the RFP and think that their needs could be met with drupal. I thought some local folks might be interested in it.
