SEO issue with Drupal Forums
There is an SEO issue with Drupal's forums similar to the SEO problem with Drupal views where pages that don't exist still send a 200 OK header.
This is the correct URL of a Drupal forum:
drupal.org/forum/1
This non-existant URL also sends a 200 OK header when it should send a 404 Not Found header:
drupal.org/forum/1/asdf.html
An example of where this might cause problems is when you take a non-Drupal forum and convert it to a Drupal forum that has different URLs.

Hej!
Many nodes, many users on forum module
I'm new to the High Performance group and I'm interested to find out if people here have run a site with the following stats:
- 4,000 simultaneous visitors, up to 500 who are logged in at once
- approaching 2 million comments
- 200,000 forum posts
- 30,000 registered users
Strange problem with Forums in a multilangual site - help please
Hello,
I’m building with Drupal 6.9 a multilingual (English, Hebrew, Arab, Greek & Turkish) site for a Middle Eastern NGO (http://b1.mideastpan.org).
Setting of a multilingual site with I18 pack was, for a non-programmer ‘Drupal newbie’, pretty straightforward. It seems that content translation and switching between interface & menu languages are working fine (Bravo).
After setting a forum, the following ‘strange’ problems appear:

Drupal's core forum module is much maligned. Some of this is unjustified - people expecting it to replace standalone solutions by itself and ignoring the nature of Drupal's modular framework. However, it also has some limitations which are a result of its age and require many workarounds for large community sites.
Many of the forum module's limitations are down to its dependency on the taxonomy module (making it hard to integrate with organic groups etc.) and on comment.module, which is itself in need of a rewrite.
So we're proposing a ground up rewrite of forum.module using nodes.

We've got a /tracker menu item to show new forum posts. Great. Only problem is it doesn't show the forum the topic is posted under, my first thought is that this could easily be fixed by using a view instead of the tracker. Problem with this is that views can't show whether there are new posts in a topic. So should I:

OG Forums lives again and is compatible with regular forums...
I don't know if anyone here is interested, but I just finished (?) an update to the og_forum module. You can find it here: http://drupal.org/node/121822
Things to note:
-It is compatible with Drupal 5.1.
-Each group can have multiple forums
-Regular (sitewide) forums can be used side-by-side
-Group context is set whenever applicable
-Both forum and og_forum paths work - they are interchangeable
-A trip to www.yoursite.com/forum (or og_forum) will show all forums available to the user whether that forum is general or within a group they are subscribed to
How will DruBB be effected by the new SMFforum Integration module?
Have somebody tested the new SMFforum Integration module? It claims to be with fantastic features.

Theming question + updates
Hi,
I am still developing the extended forum module, but I have now big project at my work so the forum module project won't be ready by February, but I hope that I'll release the pre-alpha version by March. And I hope to post screen shots as soon as I can.
Anyway, I got an issue that I would like to discuss with you about.

Hi everybody,
While making my research about Drupal profile solutions, I was pointed to the following site:
http://www.goingon.com
I was shocked after surfing the site. This site is powered by Drupal and it's amazing! WOW!!!
I want that our BB project will have such full featured profile like in goingon.com. Does anyone have any clue which profile module this site is using? What are the other modules of that site?
Thanks and have a nice day.
