A partner in webdesign

Hi everyone.
I have been trying to get my head around Drupal for a couple of months now and am finding it rather daunting. Lets say first off I am not a web designer or programmer, I am an entrepreneur and businessman with many interests. I have some commercial websites I want to build and my limited HTML abilities don't translate into what will be needed for these sites.
Now, I could just employ someone but I don't want to do that. Which is why this post is not in Jobs.

Drupal distro for designing courses

There are many Web sites and tools for authoring textbooks: iBooks Author, Flat World Knowledge, etc. Good tech, but there's a fundamental flaw in their specs. They're based on an obsolete view of learning.

Education researchers have shown how we can help students learn STEM skills (STEM: science, tech, engineering and math). Deep learning, formative feedback, other things. We need to redesign authoring software based on these research findings.

Today, entrepreneurs who own start-ups or small/medium business are faced with a quick need to setup e-business/ecommerce website with limited budget. They may not even know what tools are required or how to hire a consultant for their website development needs.
