Node points
for the most intresting nodes.
An User points like module for nodes. I would like to make a block/page/view for the most interesting nodes.
Which node is intresting? You can setup simple rules for
- the length of the body
- the number of the comments (registered user's comments gets more points)
- a taxonomy term (or vocabulary)
- statistics
- votes
- extra points from the node's author / administrator
For example:
body|<1000:30 -> if the plained body's length is less then 1000 char it gets 30 points
Faceted Voting?
I've been searching around the modules relating to voting and I can't seem to find one that fits my requirements.
Basically, I would like something that allows voting on nodes based on different aspect areas.
For example, if we have a node that's a car, the car can be rated from 1 to 10 on Speed, from 1 to 5 on Handling. The admin could create as many categories or aspects along with a rating velocity. When a participating node is displayed, a rating widget would be displayed with the node.
I'd like to base this module off Voting API.
Any thoughts or ideas? Any interest?
Voting and Views
Is there a module or recipe to expose votes to Views so to you can make a list of content and possibly sort it by the number of votes or the average or similar? Ideally, something that ties into Voting API or better still, Fivestar.

Overhauling the Vote Up/Down module
This project got selected in GSoC 2009. The abstract will be updated soon to reflect our latest plans.
Overview:
Vote Up/Down is a popular and widely used module for most of Drupal's voting requirements. The module was originally written way back in 2006 by Fredrik Jonsson (frjo). It is now maintained by me (lut4rp). I also ported the module to Drupal 6. This proposal aims to make Vote Up/Down the rockstar of all voting modules by accomplishing some very important pending tasks and feature requests.
FiveStars & Gallery2
Hi all !
First, let me say that I'm absolutely sorry if the current post should not be posted here...
I'm about to use Gallery2. Previously I've created galleries using Viewfield, Image, NAT and Views modules. In fact my problem is that I need to add extrafields to galleries (means that a gallery must probably be a node). And i need screw FiveStars & Voting API on images.
So my question : is it possible with Gallery2 or Not ?
Thanks a lot !

Read moreTaking voting *speed* into account
Hi
I am thinking about tuning my vote_up_down based site into a bit more digg-like site. On Digg 50 votes per hour can outperform 500 votes per two weeks - it allows "hot" news to be pushed to the front page earlier. Can similar things be achieved with the help of voting_api?
- I am thinking about attaching to every node, not only a "vote" counter, but also kind'a "internal priority" counter, that would be increased by user votes and decreased by time therefore making old votes less valuable.
