views slideshow

Hello all,

I'm trying to set up an online version of our local community TV.

Since all the files are images, I set up a views slideshow. In order to automatically import those images, my colleague set up a script that automatically updates the content of a specific folder through ftp. Thus, the content of the distant folder is deleted and the content of our local folder is uploaded. I then use Image Import to create nodes that can be used for the said slideshow.

I just started playing with views slideshow, but I'm having a hard time finding any documentation on theming the output. I can do some with css, but I don't understand how the tpl that comes with the views slideshow module (there's only one tpl file) works. Can somebody point me in the right direction?

Because our last meet-up was on the Views module and advanced techniques, I allow myself to post this here. It is also posted on drupal.org, but I haven't had any responses...

I am having a hard time explaining that in a clear and concise way, so please bear with me and ask any questions you may have to clarify...

I am using CCK, Views2, Lightbox2, imagecache.

I am using the story content type to which I added an image field and some taxonomy fields as well.

I just added a new slideshow mode to the Views Slideshow module. You can see a demo at Drupal Hub. It uses JQuery and views, so any type of view could be made into a slideshow. The current modes are single frame, as seen in the left sidebar of the demo page, and with 'thumbnails' as shown on the content of that page.

I also revamped the themes for it, making it easier to theme specific elements of the slideshow.
