Demo Camp Dallas 1
The first Dallas Demo Camp is this Thursday, Feb 15th at Sabre Labs in Southlake, TX. All are welcome.
A DemoCamp lasts only a few hours on a weekday evening. Unlike a BarCamp, you don't have to present. You are welcome to come along and give feedback to the people who do (or just watch and absorb if you don't feel like talking). Demos should have roughly a 2 minute introduction, 8 minute demonstration, and 5 minutes for questions. 15 minutes total. You don't strictly have to sign up on the Wiki page in order to attend, but it helps with getting an accurate count. A Demo Camp is a great place to meet fellow Drupalists!

Buenas gente!
Lamento la demora en anunciar la reunión formalmente, los días en enero se pasan volando!!
Como ya lo anunció Víctor, nos reunimos nuevamente el Jueves 15 de febrero a las 18 horas en lo que ya es el bar de siempre, esto es, "Meeting Place" en Lavalle y Montevideo, Entre Piso.
La idea va a ser reunirnos en forma periódica y predefinida y ya ir armando una agenda para las próximas reuniones, así como un objeto un poco más definido para BADUG.

Last saturday Alan and I went down to the BarCamp South East in Waterford. We did a presentation of Drupal, Alan went through the benefits of Drupal for a website, and I showed how to install Drupal 5 in couple of minutes.

First Buenos Aires Drupal Users Group Meeting held!

It was great meeting with everyone and talking about Drupal face-to-face, in person, with real live people!
We spent a couple of hours introducing ourselves, and how we are working at present with Drupal.
Then we spoke about what kind of activities we would like to plan for our new group, and what kind of contribution we could make back to the community, including the Drupal community as a whole and helping grass-roots groups who need to get their message out.

BarCamp NYC v2 - 30 Sept - 1 Oct.
After two months of toil and heartbreak, I am happy to announce that
we have rescheduled BarCamp NYC v2.0 for 30 September - 1 October
2006. With a bit of irony, we will be hosted by Microsoft in their
posh midtown office! I can't wait to see the cross pollination between
the FOSS Community, Microsoft engineers, and the random acquaintance.
BarCamp NYC promises to be a very interesting weekend!
The BarCamp NYC Planning team chose this weekend to coincide with
Wired NextFest at the Javits Center (wikipedia link). Though I am now
saddened to discover that BarCamp falls on Yom Kippur. UGH!
BarCamp Milwaukee
Someone contacted me about the idea of having some Drupal stuff go on at Barcamp Milwaukee. I can't guarantee my presence but i'm currently considering it... Might be a good time to meet up.

Free sleeping?
I read at http://wiki.fosdem.org/tiki-index.php?page=FreeSleeping_and_Internet_in that there was free sleeping possible in Brussels and Leuven (~ 30 km from Brussels) in 2005 for fosdem.
Would that be interesting for someones? Does anyone have well contacts?
