I released video module 7.x-2.1-alpha2 version on 11th of Sep. This major version completely redesign the video module and its core, I'm the only one worked on this release and seems our co-maintainers (6.x) had no time to contribute code to the 7.x yet. I'm very very happy about the progress of downloading and using video module. It has over 10,500+ usage now.

Hi guys I have installed the Video Module and Flowplayer and have setup ffmpeg and the flv convertion is working correctly. However when I click on the node teaser which is the thumnail created by the ffmpeg then it takes me into full node view and the FlowPlayer would start the video, but this message appears:
200 Stream not found, NetStream.Play.StreamNotFound, clip: '[Clip] 'http://www.localhost.dev:8888/drupalsite/node/sites/default/files/videos/videos/converted/video.flv'

Currently we only have one video type(flv) is supported by videoField and I added many video types like did in video module. See the HEAD for the latest.
We would like to hear some expert voices here before we go for the next release of the videoField. Where we should go and what are the video features we can support?.

During our Drupal Multimedia panel on Monday, Nate Haug (quicksketch) mentioned that soon we will be discontinuing the Image module, and providing a migration for existing Image Nodes to ImageField (or its replacement).
The same thing needs to happen to the Video module. That could happen now. The module that provides a migration path for Video nodes will be king. But they'll also need to tap into the planned hook_file for d7, to keep from being dethroned.
